Here, visitors can come close to many diverse animals and many species of each. Kids will have loads of fun here at the Children's Zoo attraction. The other two attractions are Wilds of Africa and Zoo North. People can see chimps climbing trees and tigers swimming in pools at this interesting zoo. You can learn about the history and habitat of the most common animals today. Best for families to come.

This place is amazing. An absolute must to see. Kids and adults will enjoy. You can take the dart train and get very close. It is located close to downtown Dallas close to West End and is a most popular place. The atmosphere is really great. Lots to see so plan to have several hours to spend. You won't want to leave.

I went to the Dallas Arboretum over the weekend with a group of ladies, and have to say, this place is gorgeous!
It was the perfect day to walk through all these gardens and water areas - very soothing! There were lots of folks talking photos of their kids or wedding photos. The breeze was blowing - it was SO nice! There are lots of beautiful flowers in bloom and lush grasses swaying in the breeze - and LOTS of trees!
I would encourage you to visit the Dallas Arboretum, take a picnic lunch and take your shoes off and run your toes through the grass.

When I was recently on a business trip to Dallas, I extended my stay to go to this museum and I am sure glad that I did. The cost was $10 per person and I think it was a great deal.
The museum is located in the 6th floor of the “Book Depository” building in downtown Dallas. This is the building where they believe that the fatal shots originated. The building is no longer used as a book depository, but the area around the window where the shots were fired and the area where the police later discovered the rifle have been restored to how they looked at the time.
The museum had a huge collection of photographs and artifacts from the Kennedy family as well as many from the hours before and after the shooting.
The museum is laid out in chronological order – starting with the Kennedy family, then how JFK became president, then through his presidency, then many details on the assassination and its aftermath. They do highlight the conspiracy theories, the Warren Commission, and other investigations that have taken place.
They present the stories with a combination of text, photos, artifacts, and videos. As someone who was not yet born at the time of his assassination, it was very interesting for me to see the affect of this event on the United States and even the world. It was also very interesting to see how different things were back then.
We went to the museum on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed! I would highly recommend trying to fit this in on a weekday if you do plan to go. Check out their hours though as they are not open in the evenings and you want to give yourself enough time to get through the large exhibit.
There is a store at the end of the museum – I found a great book there that has a lot of the same information as the exhibit – but it is not nearly as dramatic as seeing it in person.
There is also a lot of great information about the museum and their exhibit at their website jfk.org http://www.jfk.org/
If you are ever in the Dallas area – I highly recommend you check out this museum!

A great city zoo. Lots of walking within but lots to see. Well kepted and nice and clean. Take the dart train right to the zoo. A lot of people prefer the Ft. Worth zoo I think but not sure that I do. We have had many family type trips to the Dallas zoo and have really enjoyed it each time. Took our children there years ago and now take the grandchildren and still have fun there.

If you're in the mood to throw some popcorn and interact with some actors check out one of the Comedy Spoof plays put on by the crew at the Pocket Sandwich Theater. They go after their acting with gusto and put up with and participate with heckling from the audience. Durring the intermissions you will find yourself peppered with popcorn from the patrons around you and with a seating limit of 170 you are encouraged to be friendly with the guy or gal next to you. The food and drink list isn't extensive or gourmet, but they get all the chow done in the hour before the show. The wait staff is fast, efficient and has a good sense of humor, as you must to work in a place like that. Don't forget your 'roof' so you don't get popcorn in your drink!
