If you need a quick breakfast in the Pearl this is the place to be. I have stopped in more times than I would like to admit on my way to work. In 5 minutes or less you can get a delicious breakfast sandwich that can't be beat in this town! They are just like a good ol' New York breakfast treat. more

The interior reminds one of SauceBox: cozy and dark. There's outside seating and the servers are a pleasure to look at. If you like grits, they're quite delicious here. The fish tacos resembled burritos, and very different from that of Rubios or Baja Fresh. The Cobb salad was average, but I heard the skewers are the deal. I went to Holden's with my family after reading two horrible reviews about their service. Not true! We had to make our jokes about the way they "looked" at us, because the service was some of the best I have had in the Portland metro area. And I highly recommend the chilled mango soup and fish tacos. Yummmmyyyy.... Pros: service, food, atmosphere Cons: parking, no free bread more

I was in Portland on business and a friend reccomended that we meet at Holdens. I checked the review before I left and found that it had one bad review. I went with an open mind and was glad I did. The food and service was excellent and a bargain. The drink prices were a bit high but we both felt like the drinks were well worth it. Pros: service, food quality, ambience Cons: crowd noise more

I've been there a few times, all very good experiences. The menu can be pricy, but the chopped cobb salad is really great. Drinks are too expensive. Mushroom appetizer is great, but inconsistent. Pros: candle wall, booths Cons: chairs uncomfy, drink prices more
