The typical non-Vietnamese Midtown resident might hesitate to shop here, but Hoa Binh is a great place to go for staple produce. You can get herbs here dirt cheap instead of paying $2 for basil at another grocery store. Also, Vietnamese shops always have good bread (try the sandwich shop outside the grocery store, too). You'd probably never want to buy meat or fish here. Overall, it's just worthwhile to stop by and see what they have before you go to your regular store... and you realize quickly how much more you pay elsewhere for overhead and marketing.
Pros: CHEAP, Produce, Bread
Cons: Bad meat/fish, Unnattractive
