Massage is wonderful! 7/28/2011

All the therapists are wonderful at The Hills. Mary Catherine does a wonderful mix of sports and deep tissue massage with techniques that I've never had before. Afterward she gave a glass of cucumber/mint infused water (delicious!) and went through different stretches and exercises I can do at home to keep my muscles at top performance. A true massage therapist! I know other places will offer massages for a smaller rate, but when it comes to this: You really do get what you pay for! more

Best Massage 3/10/2010

Hills therapists rock. I've had massages by Cristi, Rodrigo and Julie and all were off the charts. They know how to do deep tissue and sports massage and trigger point. And they can do lighter Swedish if you need that, or chair massage too. These therapists have un-done years of tension in my body in just an hour and a half. You can get same-day appointments there. Pros: Location, quality of service more

Fantastic running trail 5/21/2008

The running trail is amazing. It winds through the woods and over the creek. I've even seen deer while I was jogging. It is very peaceful and secluded, yet the property is completely fenced in so you feel safe while jogging. They even have lights that come on when it starts to get dark. I also enjoy the patio that overlooks the pool. Pros: Running trail, atmosphere more

great trainers... 5/14/2008

The Hills has some of the Best trainers in Austin. The club is set back in the hills under the tress its beautiful setting. Pros: Trainers more

Great gym, question childcare 3/19/2008

There's no question that the Hills is an upscale and inviting place to get in shape. I was especially attracted to year round swimming with both the indoor and outdoor pool, massage services, free help from a personal trainer to set up an exercise routine, and the diversity of the people I saw working out. I felt that I could work on my fitness goals and not feel embarrassed. The locker room is very nice and clean and the walking/jogging trail outside is really relaxing. It feels like walking through the woods. Pros: facility, pools, locker room, walking/jogging trail, free fitness trainer consulation Cons: childcare has no safety measures, more expensive than most more

Luxury Health Club 2/2/2008

The Hills health club is the best luxury health club facility in Austin. The customer service is wonderful and the atmosphere is calming. They have so many classes to choose from and the cafe has a beautiful view and great food. I would recommend the Hills to anyone looking for a first-class health club. Pros: Luxureous Atmosphere, Over 100 classes to choose from more

Much Improved! 2/21/2007

There have been many construction issues in my year at the Hills as a member. Through this they have proven to be very uncompasssionate or caring towards the situation with the childcare (they are crammed in a room the size of my closet untill the construction is finished). When I tried to speak with the manager (Allen) about this I was told ""he did not have time to deal with this"". If you are a parent who is thinking of joining this gym and would actually like to use the facility you are paying to use, you may want to reconsider untill the construction is complete. Pros: Polly's and Melanie's yoga (they are all good), running track Cons: manager, construction situation with the child care more

Best trainer in Austin 6/25/2006

Ryan Mueller is the best personal trainer in Austin. He makes you work really, really hard but then you see great results. He pushes beyond what you think you are capable of, but then you do it. I can't speak highly enough of him. Pros: warm, friendly atmosphere Cons: political views of manager more

No Onsite Childcare 11/8/2005

The facility is not friendly towards mothers with small children. The onsite childcare has been moved to an inconvient location for most members. Plan to add 45 minutes to workout time to transport young children to offsite location. Pros: Location Cons: Childcare, Management, Parking more

I love the Hills. I go there all the time to excersize, swim, or even just hang out. The staff are very friendly. It's very upscale, and you will meet people there. The brownies are the best :) Pros: friendly staff, upscale Cons: expensive more
