Best

Harris Teeter is, as a whole, the nicest grocery store in the area. While it offers everything you’d find in a regular supermarket, they stand out by offering a wider than average...

The lady who works behind the bread counter is very rude, I tried to get a sample today and she was a total tong nazi. I was so turned off I put my groceries back and left with nothing. more

High prices 2/25/2010

I don't go to HT Cameron Village to get married or find a date, I just buy food items there. Since I've been shopping at this store, I've noticed really significant price increases over short periods of time. In the summer, there seem to be more discounts, but when the students come back in the fall, prices go up a lot., and then keep going up. On some items I buy every few weeks, I've notice 30% increases. Also during the week, even at peak times, as well as off hours, I'm constantly having to dodge HT staff and delivery men who hog the aisles, blocking shelves, etc. I've heard this particular store has the highest dollar sales in the state of NC. I can believe it. From how prices change, I'm convinced that HT corp. uses this store to test pricing levels---how high can they go before people stop buying. Students don't care about prices, but the rest of us do. The store seems to be priced like a corner convenience store, not a supermarket--everything is high. I admire HT marketing and sales for their use of this store as a price leader. It serves a captive market in the area, so people pay the prices. Pros: Clean store, convienient. Cons: Prices go up dramatically, parking is terrible. more

Middle of the night 2/5/2010

I go to this Harris Teeter all the time in the middle of the night. Like at 2 AM. Best experience ever. No joke. If you have not tried it, I highly recommend it. This place is a calm, quiet, and friendly place to do your shopping... but only if you go after all of the ""normal"" people are in bed. Pros: Peacefull, good selection, nice workers Cons: daytime, at night the left side u-check shuts down more

Interested in a horrible experience? Go to this Harris Teeter. 3/1/2007

The good times start with the atrocious parking situation. You're better off just getting on I-40 East at 5pm than to mess with this headache. The food selection is the only redeeming value of this place, but once you get past that, you're faced with semi-retarded deli workers (don't ever bother with the automated deli machine at the entrance- i'm convinced your order gets sent to a weather tower in Russia), pretentious fellow shoppers who shop with a impending disaster demeaner, and an overall experience that will crush your will to ever leave your house again. I hate this place. Pros: nothing Cons: everything more

Ok? 9/11/2002

I didn't understand why this is here until I started to patronize Harris Teeter in Cameron Village. On certain nights this place is full on young professionals or college people. The shopping center attracks a mixed crowd. This place also has a Starbuck's and food area that serves just about anything! Pros: Self-checkout, varity/.locale, price Cons: busy more
