The deli at Whole Foods Market is a great place to grab lunch with a friend. I prefer the indoor seats, but there is outdoor seating (a little too close to the smell of cars going by a few feet away for me). There are a variety of items available, all in the "whole foods" vein (where else can you get tofurky?). Even to a confirmed meat-eater, the selections are excellent and the food is always fresh and lovely. Be sure to try the desserts - they're awesome! They offer take-away from the deli as well, which is great for a picnic or just as an alternative to all the fast food over on Western.

Fresh Market is a great small grocery store. In addition to pantry staples, they offer beautiful cases of fresh meat, lesser-known vegetables, and huge bins of grains, nuts and dried fruit. They have a fabulous deli, stocked with delicious prepared salads and dinner entrees, and a terrific bakery. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and it is a pleasant place to shop.

Harris Teeter is, as a whole, the nicest grocery store in the area. While it offers everything you’d find in a regular supermarket, they stand out by offering a wider than average selection of fancy cheese, fresh produce, and ethnic foods. They have a great deli and a pretty good sushi bar for a grocery store. They have a really nice flower shop in store. While their prices tend to be higher overall than other grocery stores, they do offer great sales and specials.

Haven't been in to the store since the new owners have taken over, until today. The new tasting bar is beautiful and I enjoyed sampling the delicious goat cheese from Celebrity farms. I found two new wines to enjoy and bought some goat cheese too~ I like the changes and look forward to the next tasting in March! Paul's daughter, Emelia is a stunner too, I enjoyed watching her woo the customers with that 6 month old smile!! It's nice to see the family business environment coming back!

When all is said and done, I still like purchasing food at the food lion on occasion. they always seem to have the cheapest prices in town. the store may be a ltitle haphazard, but the food is still good. they ahve a great cheap beer seleciton as well. I tend to stray away from their produce, but beyond that good eats on the cheap.

I didn’t believe my boyfriend when he said Peace St. Market had one of the largest beer selections around. From the outside it looks like a regular convenience store. Inside you will find many coolers stocked with domestic and imported beer.
The prices are very reasonable for beer you don’t have to purchase at room temperature.

Somebody had sent me flowers and they left me a message on my voicemail to confirm the address. I got home from work and called them back after hours. They didn't have an answering machine so that i could leave them a message, so i had to call them the next day and asked if they could deliver by a certain time and they said they would. But they did not deliver when they said they would. They were probably an hour and a half late. Their flowers were very nice though and the vase that they came in was well protected, the arrangement probably lasted over a week. But I found their customer service to be inconvenient.
