Best

The quality of the medical care is outstanding and I feel very secure knowing any problems will be detected and treated properly.

Worst

I have brought 5 pets here over more than a decade and here is what I can say with great confidence about Friendship Animal Hospital: Use this vet ONLY for 24hr emergency care if...

wonderful 5/6/2011

the care our dog has received has been wonderful, and we are grateful for that. more

Not my favorite 4/29/2011

I only use this "hospital" for emergencies or after-hours issues. I do not like their primary care. It's very impersonal. The front desk staff is the worst. Waits can be ridiculous. Because they are so big, you rarely see the same doctor twice. Their prices are also higher than others in the region. more

great job 3/31/2011

We did take our pup to an internist here to take a closer look at her GI problems, and he did a great job of starting her treatment conservatively rather than jumping straight into surgeries and other more invasive treatments. more

Always timely 3/25/2011

Always timely, pleasant and caring more

incredibly glad 3/23/2011

I adopted an older dog, and one month after taking her in she began to get sick and I was referred to Friendship. I have read the other reviews, and really can't believe the experiences of others, because mine was the exact opposite. The very first night I took her there when I thought we were having an emergency, they told me she was stable, and to take her home and bring her back to her scheduled app the next morning because they didn't want to charge me unnecessary costs and didn't charge me anything. From that point forward for the next 4 weeks we tried multiple treatments because she wasn't getting better, she would start to get better and then get worse again - but the entire time they were supportive and helpful and every single person I interacted with was kind and considerate. When the costs became too high, unknown to me, they nominated her for help from a memorial fund to help cover her costs which she was approved for. Ultimately we had to put her down, but even after 2 of the doctors/vet techs who had worked with her called to express condolences after they heard, and I received a card in the mail saying they made a donation in her name to the memorial fund and a very nice note from her primary vet and his assistant. I literally have a list of 10 people I plan to send individual notes of thanks to, and am so incredibly glad that she received her care there. Again, everyone seems to have different experiences, but having gotten to know so many of the people who worked there over the last 4 weeks, I have nothing but positive things to say about them. more

professional 3/21/2011

Timely and very professional more

simple as that 3/17/2011

They are professional, thorough, informative, courteous, and helpful. They do not put you threw the ringer. If there is a problem, they solve it, it is as simple as that. Thank you Friendship Animal Hospital more

always been very good 3/15/2011

Their diagnosis of our dogs have always been very good. We have taken at least 5 different dogs to this hospital. more

very clean and professional 3/11/2011

I went in today for an emergency visit with my dog. First of all the place was very clean and professional looking. It didn't even smell like animals, although there were quite a few dogs there when I arrived. In addition, even though I was a walk-in, I was seen almost immediately by a highly competent emergency vet (I think her name was Hannah). I have been to MANY vets who seemed to come up with every expensive test in the book to diagnose a problem. She was thorough, but I NEVER got the feeling she was trying to increase my bill by suggesting unnecessary tests. At the same time, she was professional and thorough. Finally, the staff members were also both very nice and professional. Seriously, I have no complaints about this place. I was also concerned about a really high bill, but they worked with me to keep it reasonable. So all in all, my experience was excellent. I will definitely be going back. One caveat---the Vet I saw was an emergency vet only, she does not do regular appointments. So although I liked her a lot, I am a little bummed about not being able to see her as a regular vet. I am also not sure how the other vets are. But based on my experience today, I feel comfortable going back again under more normal circumstances. more

Dr. McMurphy was a welcome change 3/4/2011

Dr. McMurphy was a welcome change from previous rushed encounters at Friendship and much better than the experience I had with another local vet. more

They're great about answering questions over the phone 3/2/2011

They're great about answering questions over the phone if you're in doubt about going in, and I'm not urged to come in if I can take care of it at home. more

didn't make us pay for anything unnecessary 2/28/2011

It's upscale, parking is easy, and the people were friendly. They weren't rough with my cats or anything, and didn't make us pay for anything unnecessary. more

high-quality vets here 2/24/2011

it's convenient, and there are high-quality vets here. more

kind 2/18/2011

I appreciate the kind and gently way all the staff treat my pet. more

Very Helpful & Non-Manipulative 2/3/2011

Dr. Kuehn has been very helpful, smart, and non-manipulative. more

Appreciate The Follow Up Calls 1/31/2011

My pets have received excellent care, and I get follow up phone calls to make sure they're on track after anything bigger than a checkup. more

Checking Out Was Easy 1/28/2011

The wait has been reasonable and check out easy, none of the unpleasantness other reviewers have reported, I've never seen anything but reasonably efficient, polite service. I guess they do get slammed by emergency walk-ins at times, but that's to be expected at an emergency vet more

Cremation Services Are Superb 1/20/2011

the service they used for cremations, Heavenly Days, is superb. The people they are so considerate and so professional. more
