Fun Day trip 8/12/2005

This zoo has some great exhibits. There is a pretty extensive bird exhibit that includes Tawney Frog Mouths and Kookaburras. There is a big African exhibit with a lion that you can really get pretty close to. The Gorilla exhibit is the highlight. It is really large and currently there is a baby. The mother gorilla was up against the window with her baby and you could get a really good look at her. Another nice exhibit was the butterfly gardens. Really pretty. more

A family day gone wild 8/5/2005

The Franklin Park zoo has gone through many changes since last time I was there. It is one of the few places (if not only) to see gorillas. Even though it is a small zoo it is worth a trip to see. I like the fact to you feel so close to the loins behind protected glass and watching the kangaroos is a great treat. more

Not that many animals 8/5/2005

This zoo is average. I have been to other zoos and they are far better than this zoo. The number of animals in the Franklin Park Zoo are not that high but they do have some interesting animals to look at. The zoo is fairly great in size. Since this is the only zoo in Boston, come here if you want. more

Baby Gorilla... 7/19/2005

Franklin Park Zoo is a wonderful place for the family to spend the day. It's a great meeting place for friends to get together. They have so many exhibits it can take all day to see everythiing. The new baby Gorilla is adorable, a must see. The butterfly garden is pretty nice...you can get some good ideas for your own. There is a petting zoo for the little ones and some great stuffed animals in the gift shop. They even have an adoption plan to help support the zoo... check it out it makes a great gift. more
