I went to Midge at Elan Salon for my Brazillian Blowout and color ... She is the best in town!!! My hair looks incredible. Everyone should go to her , she is booking up fast so you better hurry up! more

Guy's Haircut 7/14/2010

I went in to get a hair cut, Midge was the one who ended up doing the cut. She was great! She asked me questions about my job and what I like to do in my free time. She started cutting and 15 minutes later, my hair looked great. She really took the time and listened to what I wanted. I'll recommend Midge and Salon Elan to everyone. Absolutely Fabulous!!!! 7/13/2010

Okay, I'm going to be honest with you; My hair was a hot mess! I just moved to Austin and was looking for a regular place to get my hair done. The last place I went to made my hair look like I stuck my finger in a socket. Nichy took 4 HOURS on my hair in order to get it back to where I really wanted it to be. She was very humble, hilariously funny, but most of all she was very honest about my hair and she listens. I highly recommend that you see Nichy if you're in a serous need of a hair makeover. Pros: Nichy is the best Stylist in the salon Cons: I didin't want to leave her chair. more

Great 5/27/2010

I've lived in SF and NYC and gone to some of the best stylists but Colleen at Elan is by far my favorite. I got the Brazilian blowout and it changed my life!!! don't even need to blow dry my previously curly frizzy hair! Plus she gave me an amazing haircut. Very reasonable as well!!!! couldn't recommend this place any more emphatically!!! more

I've lived in SF and NYC and gone to some of the best stylists but Colleen at Elan is by far my favorite. GREAT Haircut!!! 5/21/2010

I travel a lot and had taken to just getting my haircut at any place in any city. I had not found anyone to cut my hair that did a consistently good job and was worth "scheduling". I now go to Colleen at Elan Hair Salon. I went the first time because I know her, but go back because it is the best haircuts I remember having.... EVERY TIME! I know that finding someone you trust to cut your hair is not easy, for men's haircuts or women's haircuts. But you will be very happy if you try Elan. Best Stylist in Austin 5/12/2010

If you are considering trying someone new, give Colleen a call - she's the BEST! She really listens to her clients and has a great sense of what will look good on different people. She tamed my out of control hair with a Keratin treatment and now it's smooth and silky. After I shower, all I have to do to it is blow it dry & I am ready to go - no more flat ironing! Since she's been doing my hair I've been getting many compliments on it. I even sent my husband to her and she gave him the best cut he's ever had. The salon itself is clean and comfortable, easy to find and parking is no problem. Pros: Nice environment, reasonable prices, talented stylist Cons: None - really! more

Wonderful Highlights + Brazilian Blow Out 2/22/2010

TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY I HAVE HAD STRAIGHT HAIR, EVER! Colleen did the brazilian blow out hair straightening for me today, and wow, I love it. Day 1 was today. 3 hours in the chair, not bad. It was funny, a couple of friends did a double take at me today and turned a few heads at HEB.... and I know my hair must have been crazy looking in this humidity all these months.... today my hair looks full and smooth and straight! I had been thinking of doing this for months, so glad I cleared my tennis schedule and did it. Can't wait to see what happens after I wash it. Thanks Colleen! Early 2010: Colleen and Michelle really spent a lot of time deciding the best color mix to correct my over-blonde highlights and new growth. After a few months, I am spending less on root touch up and my hair is awesome shades of blonde and healthier/ less breakage. Personal attention is awesome here and not pretentious. Colleen is the new owner, very friendly, make an appointment! Pros: Friendly salon, smart colorists, you can trust them Cons: None more

I love this salon. It is so warm and cozy. The people are extremely friendly. Colleen gave me a Keratin Hair Straightening Treatment about 2 months ago and my hair is still beautifuly straight and silky smooth. I absolutely love it. I am definitely going back. Pros: Best Brazilian Blowout! more
