I love Dos Gringos mostly because it's straight up and laid back -- the food is fresh and simple, the layout is fairly shapeless in the style of college coffee shops, and -- after my heart -- it's cheap. But the genius lies in the basement, which they use as an ice cream store. Unlike some other independent ice cream shops I've tried, Dos G's has perfected texture, flavor, and the dose of unexpected flavors you expect from small joints. This is the place you want to get your mega-wobbly piled-high cones for summer lovin.
