Cottman Transmissions of Richmond

Cottman transmission here in Richmond,Va is a joke. My wife took her ford in for an estamite and all they did was belittle her since she was a woman. Gave a price so high it was crazy. A rebuild kit for her transmission cost between $200 and $400. A new torque converter between $50 and $150. Cottman wanted $2800 to rebuild plus a nice belittleing lecture. These people have no respect for anyone and needs to be shut down! more

I visited this location because of the convenience from work and because the company has a name. I went to have one thing done and was baited in by lots of discounts to have other things done. I was really exicted about it until I reccommended some friends. I reccomended three friends to them and they all asked to have thier cars looked at so they could see number one...what was wrong and number two if they could afford to fix what was wrong. Pros: The pros is it being a nation wide chain! Cons: The location you visit make sure it's not Glenside & Broad! more

We had heard great things about this company so we took our Durango there. It was NOT happiness. We were told we were getting a new transmission for our almost $1600.00 and when our truck broke down on the way home.. yeah, for real, we took it right back.This happened over a week ago and we still don't have our truck! In fact when I called today since JD and Dave told us it would be ready on Monday, Dave told me "" I don't need you calling here to check on your truck,and I don't need to call you either.""Um mm... did I tell you they ALREADY cashed my check?? These guys still have my truck, and JD told us today that it wasn't really a new transmission after all, just a really great rebuilt one??? So I DO NOT recommend this Cottman . Oh I also called the Cottman corporate number.. guess what ? You can't get a voice. I feel like I have been treated unfairly.To Make a long story short, I would NOT want these guys to represent my company and they have acted very unprofessional. AND I still don't have my truck!!!
