I went to Dr. Cordera for 10 years. It was great at first. The staff was friendly, and they always were upfront about costs. Then his receptionist left, and I could never get someone to answer the phone to make an appointment. When I did get in, I asked about the noticable holes in my teeth and black spots only to be told that they were ""defects in the enamel."" So, I went to my husband's dentist (Silver Screen Dental) today after calling last week to get in (not the 4 months that I would have had to wait with Dr. Cordera's office). I HAVE CAVITIES IN EVERY MOLAR! My old fillings that I wanted replaced because they were turning my teeth black are chipped and LEAKING. I have decay UNDER THEM. I understand being conservative when it comes to care, however, his philosophy is more like ""wait until you have a heart attack to start exercising."" Thanks a lot for your professional expertise. I had patroned Dr. Cordera for 4 yrs. When attempting to make my last appt, I was told that I owed a $25 late cancellation fee. This was for an appt in which I showed up and was told that they didn't have an appt for me! Yet, they had sent a script for pre-meds to my pharmacy. more

his office suucks. his equipment suucks. he suucks. his work suucks. his diagnosis suucks. ...and not surprisingly, he doesn't make enough money to hire support staff. he just suucks all around. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GUY. more

I've been going to Dr. Cordera for several years, since around 1998. Sure, he may not have a full-time receptionist all the time but he does get back to you when you leave a message. I've had five or six crowns done by Dr. Cordera (including two old ones from when I was a teenager) and they all look and feel great. There have never been any problems or complications. I would certainly recommend him to my friends, and I have. P.S. Looks like he has moved to Shoal Creek Boulevard. more

I made the mistake of choosing this dentist for my DMO plan without knowing anything about him. First, I had a dental emergency for which I did not receive a call back for more than 24 hours. Needless to say, I had the problem taken care of by another dentist. Then, I waited a month for my first ""cleaning"" appointment, only to show up and have them tell me they were not going to do ANYTHING that day and they would see me in a month for a cleaning and filling. After having the filling done, nearly a month later I am still having severe discomfort. After calling 4 or 5 times to complain (it was really more times than that, but I kept getting either no answer or a busy signal) and asking Dr. Cordera to take a look, he finally consented, only to tell me I need to ""get used"" to the pain and discomfort and ""maybe later on we'll give you a root canal.""!! On top of this, he was very condescending about the whole matter. Another disarming fact is that his office does not accept credit/debit cards OR my insurance flex-spending card. Obviously, I've changed my dentist. BUYER BEWARE!! more

After waiting *two months* for an appointment, I showed up only to find the address listed here and with my insurance company is incorrect. I called for 20 minutes without receiving an answer, left a message, and didn't get a call back until several hours later. I missed the call because I was back at work, and they didn't leave a message. more
