Because I've driven by the place and the parking lot always seems full, I thought this would be a good place. But I was very disappointed. When I entered the restaurant, 3 people...

Awful customer service! 12/5/2010

This location moved to I-10 between Campbell & Voss. For over a year, we've ordered food delivered 2-3 times per week. Since we live ON the street that is their delivery border (exactly 1.39 miles away) the $5 delivery fee has always been waived. But not tonight. After placing an order, someone from the restaurant called us 6 times. They couldn't find the address, they couldn't spell it, etc., and then they called to say that they found the address, but that it was ""out of their delivery zone"" (did I mention we live less than a mile and a half away?) so they would have to charge us the delivery fee, ""is that ok?"" No, it's not. I explained that we lived ON the street that is their delivery border & that we order delivery from them 2-3 times per week and the fee is always waived. He put me on hold, returned and was adamant that I pay the delivery fee. I told him that I would pay it, but that they were risking losing a loyal, regular, 2-3 times per week customer. He said, ""Sorry to hear that."" Sure, it's only $5, but still...good customer service would be to recognize a valued customer and try to keep that customer instead of insisting on a delivery fee. Did I mention that we live literally 1.39 miles away?? I and my family have been in the restaurant business for years and we would NEVER be so hell-bent on imposing a nominal delivery fee at the risk of losing a regular customer. When the food finally arrived, it was obvious it had been sitting either in a car or at the restaurant during the 30 minutes they wasted calling us over and over. And they've now lost a good, steady, loyal customer. Russo's NY Pizzaria has everything Collina's does, and more. They're 1.58 miles away and they deliver for free. From now on, they will get our 2-3 times per week business. more

Really poor service 8/13/2009

Because I've driven by the place and the parking lot always seems full, I thought this would be a good place. But I was very disappointed. When I entered the restaurant, 3 people standing behind the front counter told me to seat myself. Not a problem, but they seem more interested in their conversation and after about 5 minutes, and no waiter I went to get myself a menu. Another 10-15 minutes later I had to ask one of the now 4 people at the front counter if they could spare someone to take my order. I order the spaghetti and meatballs which took over 20 minutes to bring out and although the serving was decent, I don't think it was worth my time. I will say this though, when it came to pay the bill, they got the bill to me fast. Pros: decent portions size Cons: bad service more

Poor Service and Lousy Pizza sent us to Star Pizza 8/3/2008

After 8 yrs of loyal patronage and the move from Kingside to the i-10 location, the disappointing service and poor food quaility and Allen the manager lack of honesty we will drive a bit farther for Star Pizza. We had a birthday party Aug1, slow food service and some of the group food was served 20 minutes after the rest of group. Aug 2 we ordered a 20 inch Z special with extra sauce for pickup. My wife picked up and though it looked ok, when we got it hm found virtually no sauce, thin crust [like a tortilla] and holes though the crust with limited chese and ingrediants we could not eat the pizza and did feed to our dog it was so bad.. I called immediately when the pizza arrived and spoke to Allen the manager and he told us they would credit us with another pizza.. Aug 3 ordered another Z special, my wife drove to pickup and was told that only a partial credit for pizza would be given, She called me and I spoke to Allen who agreed that he did say he would credit me for another Z special but he laughed and said " I didnt say how much of a credit". My wife waited 15 minutes for a resolve and Allen told me they have plenty of customers and to take our buisness else where. Which we did and had a great Star Pizza for dinner. Allen you are a liar and dishonest, it is good to hear that a resturant has so much buisness they dont have to provide a quailty product or service and that customers grow on trees, Over the years with all of kids and parties we spent a lot of money with them, Allen you have no honor or intergity and are a lair>We gave you our buisness over the years and overlooked some mistakes on our orders>>as for the owners of Collinas dont bank on putting out a substand product or providing poor service. hiring only HS students for service without training isnt a good biz model>>YOU FORGOT YOUR CORE BUISNESS MODEL SERVING A GOOD PRODUCT AND GIVING GOOD SERVICE, verbal symantics doesnt cut it> Pros: Can bring own wine and resonable corking fee Cons: Poor service and food quailty, management has no customer service orientation more

Horrible customer service 7/25/2006

I placed an order online for delivery. I waited for 30 minutes and never received a confirmation email. So I called them to ask them to make sure they had my order. I spoke with a man who asked me for my address and he placed me on hold. He came back and informed me that the delivery driver had just left. I waited another 45 minutes and then called them again. I spoke with a woman this time, she told me that their internet ordering system was messed up and they never received my order. I told her that I called earlier and was told that it was on its way and now you are telling me that you never received it. She said that she did not know who I spoke with and that they do not have my order. She never tried to offer a solution or to take responsibility for their mistake. I will NEVER order out or dine in with them again. Their customer service was awful!!! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone more

Food good, Wine Great, Service SUCKS 6/8/2005

BYOB is great. Hard to argue against bringing your own $12 bottle of wine when it would cost at least $30 at an average restaurant. Pizza was pretty good, decent price. Service was horrible - probably the worst I have had in my life. We sat for 15 minutes before I got up and asked for some menus. Sat for another 20-30 minutes before the waiter showed up. The guy seemed to be really rushed, so maybe he was being overworked - I don't know. At any rate, my wife and I enjoyed a bottle of wine and a pizza for $22. Not bad at all if you're not in a hurry. Pros: BYOB, Fairly priced Cons: Service is REALLY bad more

Dissapointing 1/13/2005

Over the last year, three trips to Collina's at Kingsride clearly shows that it has gone severely downhill. The food was abominable. The Tortellinis tasted like they had freezer burn, and the lasagne was obviously out of a box. The wait staff was indifferent and uncaring. This store is ripe for conversion to a dry cleaners or a nail parlour. more
