Worst

Went to Chapy's for the first time with a group of International ladies and my experience was not great. I really don't like the bred they served at first, it was dried and taste...

THE BEST 8/9/2011

Your food is superb! After indulging myself with the Oysters 2-2-2, escargot, salad, stuffed potato and blackened prime rib I couldnt resist desert when Michael said Coconut cake. However, I had to take it with me as I didn't have any room left after dinner. Later that evening I started eating the cake; in the middle of the night I had some more and I finished it for breakfast the next day. That cake is absolutely THE BEST I have ever tasted! more

Wonderful atmosphere. 8/2/2011

I had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant when my husband and I were visiting his brother in Greenbrier. The atmosphere was wonderful and Michael was the best waiter I have ever encountered. You were kind enough to come to our table so we could meet you in person which topped off the evening. more

Had a great time 6/30/2011

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at your restaurant 'Chappy's'. This was our first visit to your establishment and we were excited about our event and the culinary experience. We were so pleased with how we were treated by our server and the meal was superb. Our server and the food were everything we could hope for to make our experience memorable. She was cheerful, helpful, kind, and professional. more

Love Chappy's! 6/22/2011

I went to Chappy's for lunch along with 5 of my coworkers. Before going I had heard good & bad things, and after reading some reviews, was really prepared for a long lunch with slow service and maybe a little rudeness thrown in, for which I would also pay a pretty penny. But since I was with a group, I decided we would all find out for ourselves and we would have a good time anyway. Let me just say how pleasantly surprised we all were. It was a totally positive experience -- absolutely no negatives as far as I'm concerned -- and I can be pretty critical. We arrived about 11:45 on a Monday, after making reservations, and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was Sparkle and she was a delight, very friendly and helpful. We had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer -- delicious! A loaf of bread with 4 flavored butters was sampled by all and....well you can't go wrong with bread and butter. A salad came with each meal, and the presentation was great as was the homemade dressing. Every one enjoyed their meal, around the table were grilled chicken, fried grouper, trout almondine, fried shrimp, and "the special". Chappy came over and welcomed us and had quite the personality. We had to be polite and order desert, so we sample 3 between the 6 of us: Chocolate Cake, Bread Pudding, and Peach Cake -- all homemade of course. It was hard to decide which was best, they were all fabulous and worth every calorie! We had a great experience, with great food and even great service. We were thinking this would be a good place for a company gathering, and they do have separate rooms for large groups. Our bill was under $20 for each of us, which was reasonable considering all we had. I mean we knew we were not in a diner when we walked in and saw the exquisite and unique decor with the white table cloths on the tables. Most entrees were in the $10-$12 range for lunch. I am glad I didn't rely on the negative reviews because I would have missed a good time! more

very tasty 6/14/2011

Had a repeat pleasure by ordering the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and also ordered the shrimp remoulade appetizer which was tasty but had a little too much sauce over the shrimp. We shared the seafood platter which had a generous portion of several types of seafood; very tasty with the fried oysters and scallops being the best. more

Pleasant Surroundings 6/10/2011

Nice quiet and pleasant atmosphere as my wife and I dined here for the second time and were seated in one of the small dining rooms. more

I highly reccomend them 6/3/2011

Exquisite cuisine served in a relaxed Old World decor. Succulent seafood, juicy steaks, perfectly grilled or blackened items are everyday fare. Accompanied with our excellent service, Chappy’s is the place to dine any day. Chappy's luncheon specials start at $8.95. Dinners pricing starts at $18.95. Sunday Brunch starts at $11.95. Chappy's has a full service bar and extensive wine list. Chappy's house wine is $4.50 all day, every day. Private dining rooms are available for 2 to 250 people. more

Extremely delicious 5/31/2011

Chappy's is a reincarnation of Mr. Chapman's Longbeach, Mississippi restaurant. He has a great flair for creole and cajun dishes, with an emphasis on fresh seafood. His sauces are very French, so don't expect to watch your waistline. It is truly a dining experience, with meals taking at least 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I don't think Nashville "gets" Chappy's, and I hope places like Margaritaville don't drive him out of business. One of our favorites, with attentive staff who know their menu. more

Good service, and better food 5/27/2011

We enjoyed our dinning experience, and will dine with them again in the near future. The lady at the door was lovely during our short wait. I received a confirmation from Open Table and had left a message on Chappy's answering service. I was glad I did because for some reason when she did call she did not have our reservation. more

Delicious Catfish 5/24/2011

"My mom is in a medical facility a block or two from Chappy's. She has been there or in a nearby ICU for the last 10 weeks. She just now got on solid food and REALLY want some ""country style"" fried catfish. I had Chappy's catfish before and really liked it, but didn't know if I was up to spending dinner price for a couple of pieces of fish (all she wanted was fish and tartar sauce). My wife suggested we go by there. I dropped her off at the door and she explained the situation and they sold us two good size pieces for just $5.00 - cooked fresh and with homemade tartar sauce! After eating the fish, my mom was in a much more talkative mood even though she is encumbered by a trach. Not say the fish was medicinal, but it sure made her day a little better. THANKS SO MUCH!| more

Great Time 5/12/2011

I had such a great time here. Everyone was so polite and the service was impressive. more

All excellent. 5/11/2011

All excellent. Thanks for everything. more

Do yourself a favor and check this place out! 5/5/2011

New Orleans has the best food and service in the South, if not the USA.  Chappy's brought that portion of New Orleans with him.  Do yourself a favor and check this place out!  Just to enhance the experience he always has a wonderful three piece ensemble playing live and not too loud.  Even there he outshines the rest of this culturly devoid town. more

The service is the best in Nashville. 5/3/2011

The service is the best in Nashville.  Nashville is a city known for it's poor service from resteraunt wait staff.  The wait staff at Chappy's does it right and restores my hope that waiters elsewhere in town may actually look at their chosen career as a profession.  Chappy's would be a good school. more

An enjoyable time 4/26/2011

We will be back again! 4/1/2011

My wife and I were there for her 59th birthday and we truly enjoyed the experience. The ambiance, the attentive service, and the food were all excellent. We will be back again, and again, and again. Thanks for the experience. more

Nashville's Finest 3/25/2011

As always, Chappy's cuisine was superb. His wait staff, excellent, wife list is sufficient and not overly priced. The ambiance was exceptional. He has brought old New Orleans charm to Nashville. My wife and I go there on special occasions, and the enjoy everything about the experience. Chappy's should be noted as one of Nashville’s finest. more

What a delight 3/23/2011

We went to Chappy's to celebrate a birthday in our family tonight and it was delightful. The waiter couldn't have been nicer, there was a wonderful jazz combo, and all the food was delicious: steak, seafood and veal, not to mention the scrumptious desserts and after-dinner coffees. Highly recommended! more

Food was Great! 3/17/2011

The food was great! we were sat in an alcove which was great for privacy, but it took a waiter a min to find us. Once the waiter found us, it was a great time. more
