WORST RESTAURANT ( ZERO STARS) 9/5/2011

I visited this terrible and tax fraud place on 5th september 2011( labor day at 8:30 pm) . I and my husband got a combo for 39$ from travel zoo. I have filed a tax fraud to IRS for this restraunt. I want to inform everybody please do not visit this place if possible. We were charged randomly 7$ as tax and 18$ as SERVICE CHARGE. Total of 25$ ( the receipt was not valid, as they randomly wrote on loose piece of paper and handed to us and strictly told us to pay by cash. I want to make sure you guy are aware before visiting this place. They were many student around the area, so I think they do not care as food was cheap.. I want to make sure we all fight against this. PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. Moreover I ordered SPANAKOPITA ( spinach and cheese in puff pastry) which was microwaved. Food quality was worst and even 2 serves were total improffesional wearing some crazy clothes with hair loose open and not washed properly. Please do not visit. Please contact through email to ask more about it. more

best kibbi ever 1/14/2010

i had a great experience at cedars restaurant even this time on 03/22/2012. the food was delicious. i had some cup of vegetable soup which was so fresh. i also got an order of kibbi that i loved it. the best part of this restaurant is the the way that cedars family makes us feel; like home. i love this place because i always have a great and relaxing evening. love the service. Pros: the best shish kebobs more

Delicious food & good service for an authentic experience 11/8/2008

Cedars gave us great service even when they got very busy. The food was delicious too. The sampler appetizer platter has a great variety of samples to taste, with traditional hummus, olives, feta, etc... plus a special fish dip type thing too. My spinach & rice platter was delicious, and others in our party commented the lamb was very tasty. The baklava was warmed nicely with honey & a very nice texture. I am glad to know about this place. Pros: the best baklava & food Cons: small space can get tight when crowded, not a big deal really more

We've eaten at Cedars for at least 10 years. 7/20/2008

It's one of our favorite places to have really fresh, light healthful food. The service is exceptional-especially if you get one of the family members. The kibbi is one of those ""don't miss"" things. Good Lebanese wine list. Best of all try the Maza-a truly delicious way to try many wonderful dishes-like Lebanese tapas. more

The food was okay. I really wanted falafel but wasnt impressed, sadly. When it arrived an hour later (which was actually in the time frame they gave) the food was lukewarm. The baklava is very small too! Just keep that in mind when ordering it! more

just a horrible experience 1/4/2008

service was poor and slow, food wasnt very great. also, i think they own Fez Moroccan Restauant and Byblos - so dont go there either. The owners arent very nice, to their staff and to the customers. Save money and go somewhere else. more

Best Middle Eastern Food in Philly 5/31/2007

This is the best kept secret in Philadelphia. Their location makes it hard to find but once you do I guarantee you will go back. We have lived in Philly for a year and take all our guests here when they come in to town. The hummos with beef appetizer is amazing as well as the baba ganoush. The staff is very welcoming and makes you feel right at home. Dont forget to also order the fries and iced mint tea!!! Pros: Affordable, Quaint, Romantic Cons: Wine is a bit overpriced, more

something different, best prices, good food 8/22/2006

This is not up scale cuisine but it's a great place for lunch and for a feel good dinner. Pros: just good food Cons: not a thing more

Excellent Food and Service 8/14/2005

Located on S 4th street right off South St. this friendly Lebanese/ Middle Eastern restaurant was a breath of fresh air. We walked in on a Sunday evening around 7pm to find the place pretty packed but were seated promptly. The setting was casual and the ambience nice, the muisc and decor were inviting and helped to set the mood. The service was excellent and very attentive but what really set this place apart from so many other of my dining experiences was the food, traditional Lebanese fair was the basis of the menu, lots of hot and cold appetizers, delicious Middle Eastern salads, Falafel's, pita, hummus, cucumber and yougurt, Shesh Kabobs, Chicken, Lamb and Beef. The desserts were out of this world too, what really knocked my socks off was the bill, granted, we only drank iced mint tea and no alcohol, it was very, very, affordable! Pros: Food, Service, Price Cons: Parking, Small Dining area more
