The food was awful, so bad I thought it was a joke. This is my second time ordering from them. The first time was terrible too. Will never order from Cafe 50's again. more

They actually deserve a 5 star but was really irritated by the delivery guy. He shows up, can't break a $20 and has a real dumb/dopey attitude about it. In all the years I've ordered and paid cash, I've surprisingly never really come across this situation... really wasn't sure what my options were. He didn't help at all, didn't even offer to give me what he did have; he had a dollar in his car... the whole thing was shady-ish. He still got away with a $7 tip for driving 2 miles. It's only $7, I know, but the interaction rubbed me the wrong way. Tip to customers: pay with cc. more

I ordered my food and waited the 60 minutes and then a couple extra because I was trying to be patient. I called them to ask about the order they said it would be 20 more minutes. After 35 more minutes I received a phone call. When i picked up the phone no one said anything. Assuming it was the delivery I went downstairs and still nothing. I came back upstairs and called the number back twice with no answer. Finally the third time they answered and sure enough it was the cafe. I explained that someone had just called from that number and said nothing and that I was in fact waiting from delivery from them. She asked my name and then told me it would be another hour!!!! I had already been over and hour and a half. I told her that was unacceptable and they should have told me that the first time I called when they told me it would only be 30 minutes longer. 2 1/2 hours is ridiculousness! I could have ordered food from somewhere else and had it by the second phone call :( I wanted to like this place and was excited for the food but I wont order from them again. They are really unprofessional. I have had really slow service every time I have eaten in as well. I don't know why I thought the delivery would be any better. more

After waiting the estimated 60 minutes for delivery plus 10 just to be nice, I checked on my order status when it still had not deserved. I was told it was on its way and would be to me in 5-10 minutes. 30 minutes later, I inquired again and was told it would be there "any minute". I wanted to cancel as I was sure the food would be cold at this point. They assured me the food would be hot and arrive immediately. 20 minutes later...45 minutes later than the estimated 60 minute delivery time, my order arrived (without apology)...COLD and soggy. 1 star is only because I can't give 0 stars. more

Chili fries were soggy fries with chili soup to pour over, are they kidding? Weakest, lamest burger I have ever seen. This seems like bad cafeteria food and it is expensive. more

Terrible, after an hour of waiting we called and they said our order was sitting there but it was busy and would take a while, like another hour. terrible customer service when asked to speak to a manager they hung up on us. NEVER ORDER FROM THEM! more

Delivery took nearly 2 hours when I ordered from here. By the time I got the food, the food had cooled and was soggy. Ordered some sweet potato fries and the driver forgot them. I called and told them that the driver forgot an item and they said "We'll check the order when he gets back and we'll call you back". They took down my number and I never heard from them again. A real shame. The milkshakes are fantastic...for what that's worth. more

I have giving them a bad rating because their food is actually good but really? an hour and 45 minutes for delivery?? Don't order from here unless you're not hungry and can wait a couple hours for your food to arrive... more

They should change the estimated delivery times for this place to "?". My issue with this place is not the food necessarily, but the delivery. I ordered food from here through eat24hours. After about an hour wait I contacted eat24 to ask where my order was. The operator I chatted with called the restaurant and was told that my order was on its way out and should be arriving shortly. After another 30 minutes of waiting I contacted eat24 again. They again contacted the restaurant and were told that my order was on its way out. 30 minutes later and still with no food, I contact eat24 one last time and tell them that my order still hasn't arrived. They contact the restaurant AGAIN and are told that the driver has just left. Since my apartment is about 3-4 miles from the restaurant you would assume that my food would have been delivered quickly. 20 minutes later and still starving the driver arrives with my order. There's no apology of any sort from the driver even after I mention that I've been waiting for over 2 hours for my order. After he leaves I open the containers to find cold chicken, soggy fries, and a wilted salad. I contact eat24 one more time and ask for a refund for my order. Eat24 was very nice about it and got me a full refund. Moral of the story, DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I can't speak to the quality of the food in their restaurant, but their delivery process is horrible and needs major improvement. more

Food at the restaurant is great- They don't appear to have their delivery process down. Food did not arrive as scheduled and was soggy and unappealing..I tossed it out. more

Food - Sucked! We ordered fish and chips, biscuits and gray, and a sandwich. Fish did not have any flavor at all. I don't think that they even seasoned the fish. Fish batter was thick and not crispy at all. We asked the waiter for tartar sauce and the answer we got was ""We don't have tartar sauce."" I was kind of surprised. How can you not have a tartar sauce? Make some if you don't have any! I can even come back there and show you how to make the sauce! A restaurant that is serving fish and chips forgot to season the fish with thick tasteless batter and no tartar sauce. Biscuits tasted as if they made it yesterday and were just heated up right before they gave us. Avocado in our sandwich tasted overripe, so tasted bad. Service - average. When we were done with our food as we were walking out, the person in charge brought a cup of tartar sauce out and she told us that they didn't have tartar sauce earlier because it was early in the day and that they had not made it yet (we went there at 1:30 in the freaking afternoon!) That was a lame excuse and it only took them 45 minutes to make the sauce. I would give their milkshakes a 3 star, but the food just tasted wayyy....too crappy for us to even consider giving them a one star (I kind of don't have a choice but to give it one star). Definitely not going back! more

It's not the food I had an issue with, it was the order taking 2 hours to get to my house when the resaurant is a half a mile away. When I called to check on it, they acted as if I was in the wrong for expecting their delivery times to be correct. If I would have know if would take that long, I would have just walked there and got the food. Their customer service needs a lot of work. Will think twice before ordering from there again. more

Pretty good food. Takes awhile to get to your house, but the portions are crazy huge and sometimes they do really nice things like throw in a key chain. more
