The Apple Pan has been around for at least 50 years. Same guys have been the servers for almost that many. Quick service, consistency, quality ingredients, and amazing burgers and pie. I've been going there for 20 years.
Pros: Hickory Burger, Steak Burger, Tuna Sandwich, and all Pies
Cons: They need a "take a number" system to seating.

If you've been to one, you know why they are so great. A simple menu and codes for things not on the menu, what could be better?
The burgers are great and you'll literally be in-n-out quickly. Always a friendly staff.
If you've never been to one, I'm sorry. you MUST try one before you die!
Pros: Fresh and delicious

If you are looking for something different, and I don't mean ethnic, try Lucky Devil's. Have you ever had a cupcake or toasted pecan shake? They've got um. The price of the Kobe burger is a bit high, but taste it and you'll know why. The combination of bacon with gruyere and bleu cheese, luscious bread and that Kobe beef is a knock-out!
For breakfast try the Creme Brulee French Toast - outstanding.
p.s. If you have kids or out of town guests, make a day of it and walk a few blocks to Ripleys Believe it or Not Museum.

I've been a reader of reviews for years but never actually written one. But after reading what seemed like a horribly unfair review, I felt I needed to balance it with our family's raves. We Love The Oinkster! We love the french fries, we love the Pastrami and the pulled pork, the hamburgers are fantastic, and the Aioli dipping sauce is out of this world! The sandwiches are big enough to share so that you can have room to fill up on the best fries ever. Did I mention that the Beet/Spinach Salad is a delightful healthy option on their "specials" menu? The place isn't perfect, however. The milkshakes are good, but not great. The brownies are way too dry, so we go for the PB&J cupcakes now when we want a sweet treat. But the core menu of the place is solid and dependable.
What makes the Oinkster the family favorite is Manager Josh, who goes out of his way to make sure our dining experience is perfect. The crowd is delightfully eclectic and between the indoor tables, the outdoor tables and the low bench seating, there's a comfort level for everyone.
When we leave the kids at home, the grown-ups enjoy the beer selection which seems to have been carefully picked to go with the food. No place is flawless, but we're almost always leaving very happy and very full!
Pros: Fabulous Food and Manager Josh
Cons: Dry Brownies

I eat here A LOT.
Put it this way...we go to Tommy's after every USC victory.
There's nothing better than a Tommy's burger after a game, spending time with our fellow Trojan Family. There's usually a pretty long line, but it's so worth it. It's under 5 bucks for a burger, fries, and a drink. Don't bother to get chili fries because you can always dip them in the chili from your burger.
Feeling drunk? Tommy's will help you sober up!
I once came here with a friend who had a stomach ache, and after Tommy's, she felt better! True story
The bottom line is, Tommy's is a Los Angeles staple. Forget pink's, Tommy's has the best chili in LA.
Pros: Everything
Cons: None

I have been to Bar Marmont a few (5) times now and find it hands down my favorite place in Hollywood.
The menu is great and fairly affordable, there is also a great and cheap wine selection under $40. It varies day to day I have been there on a Monday night with a friend for dinner and had a great time. There was cool DJ's and great crowd.
Also i had a birthday dinner in a private room with 15 people. There was no extra charge for the room and they had a very reasonable price per head deal 3 courses for 45$ per head.
The staff are so friendly and greet me as one of their own it is so refreshing. I have had a great time at this bar and hopefully will continue to frequent it often.
Some good advice is the valet is half price $ 9 if you get there before 9pm (everyday).
Also they have a great happy hour from 6-9pm i had half a dozen oysters and a glass of great wine all for $12.
Pros: Great lighting, good food, cheap valet before 9pm, happy hor 6-9pm
Cons: expensive valet after 9pm find a park on the street

I grew up with this place, and I remember Mr. C. himself when he and his wife ran the place, I wonder if they still have the best ham sandwich on the planet. I remember watching him make the burgers and the ham's as well. The tuna was also out of t his world. My office was on WIlshire and Vermont in the 60's, and it was the best place going then, and is still outstanding.
Pros: the meat and the food
Cons: none for me

Great location, great atmosphere, great service, and best of all GREAT food! I've been going to this local restaurant for years and it's never left me dissatisfied. I've tried nearly everything on the menu and my favorites have to be the bacon avocado cheeseburger, the pastrami burger, and their quesadillas (Chicken or steak is fine by me!). Really though, the quesadillas consist of fresh avocado slices, fresh pico de gallo and freshly chopped chicken. Their prices can be a bit steep but for the amount of food you're getting they're well suited. Seriously though, the quesadillas are about the size of my arm (fingers to elbow) and are PACKED with all the aforementioned fresh ingredients stated above. Really, just writing about it right now is making my mouth salivate. If you're in the area and you haven't tried this fantastic West Hollywood treasure yet, I implore you to go. It's a-must-eat!
Pros: Example: best croissants in town
Cons: What are the drawbacks?

Dino's chicken is good. It's definitely a good place to eat with friends...if you find a table. As for the "danger" level, I don't think you'll get shot in a drive-by...honestly.
Pros: good chicken
Cons: could be cleaner
