LOVE MOTM in downtown Denver 7/30/2010

I will start with the negative - I haven't been as highly impressed by the way the place is run - not as energetic and happy as I would prefer to see and the teachers do not seem to always be as cared about as they should be. They work very hard but get stuck with long hours and chaotic schedule-management due to, what seems to be, short staffing. \r \r HOWEVER....\r \r We LOOOVE this place. As first-time parents, it was SOOO hard to leave our baby in the care of 'strangers.' I work right by the school and have visited my little one nearly daily since the start, which made the transition 100% easier. Not to mention, earlier on, when my little one's schedule was not as predictable, I was popping in at random times of the day and never once was concerned with how things were running or unhappy with what I saw.\r \r My little one has been in Infant (Nido) 2 since last fall and has been thriving SO WELL. The teachers, especially Ashley and Olga (the 2 that have been there since the start with us and are still there) are FANTASTIC! They are both very experienced and very caring. I just love to see the obvious care and love they have for each baby in there. They know them all inside and out - they know their eating and sleeping habits and preferences, their personalities, their development path, etc. The teachers in there do such a great job of balancing the work and really giving the babies attention.\r \r The teachers in this room have helped my husband and I so much along the way too. As new parents, we don't know all the tips and tricks of parenthood, but they have so much experience that they always have great recommendations for working with our baby on skills, feeding tips, etc. They have helped us in so many ways.\r \r I wish I could be with my little one all day every day, but if I can't be, I love having a place that feels so safe and so nurturing. Our little one smiles so big when we get to school in the morning and is always so happy to see the teachers. Pros: Infant 2 teachers! Cons: Management more

Great daycare downtown 12/16/2009

We searched for six months for a great daycare for our first child - and really feel like we found it with Montessori on the Mall. Since the first day, the teachers have been partners with us, and focused on what is best for our children. We have been there for three years, and now have two kids there, and have not had a moment's doubt that we made the right decision. They are learning more than I could have imagined and are excited to go to daycare every day. What else could a working mom ask for? more

WE LOVE MOTM!!!! 12/15/2009

My son has been attending Montesorri on the Mall (MOTM) for over 2 years now and my husband and I couldn't be happier with the experience. He is now in his third classroom (Minis), after having graduated from the Nido (infant) and Toddler classrooms. Each of the classrooms have been a wonderful experience for parents and son alike. While each teacher has their unique style, the Montessori philosophy of loving and accepting each unique child, safety in the classroom, and developmental growth has been consist. My son has thrived in this environment and is doing things I wouldn't have imagined a 2-year old to be able to do. I especially love how he enjoys helping us at home with picking up toys, sweeping the floor and about anything else Mom and Dad are doing. As a parent, I love that each classroom employs at least one bilingual teacher and that they encourage the kids to be independent. At first I was wary of the independence – after all, this is my little boy we’re talking about. However, I quickly changed my tune when I saw how proud my son was of himself when he discovered he was able to do things on his own. I also enjoy the ""green"" philosophy that MOTM employs. They use natural materials (limited to no plastics) in their playtime selections. Our daughter will soon be joining the “Mall” as well and we look forward to seeing her grow and prosper as we have our son. Pros: Dedicated to children, safety, and education. more

Dangerous - stay away 2/23/2009

We were so disappointed with MOTM. Our daughter was there for less than a year and came home with unexplained bruises in her groin area. It was brought up repeatedly with no explanation. We got her out as soon as we could. The teachers were always sitting on the floor or snapping at the kids. I saw very little interaction with the teachers and kids other than negative interactions. When we had our parent-teacher meeting they told us our daughter wasn't doing things we knew she could do and that she was doing things we knew she wasn't yet able to do. Her daily sheet never reflected what really happened and more than once we found out they fed her foods she was allergic to. \r \r Stay away! Pros: It looks great when you visit. Cons: Some teachers are lazy and uninterested, if your child has allergies, they pay no attention more

Awful! 5/21/2007

This entire organization is a wreck. The management is awful, the programing is lacking, and prices have increased 15% over the past two years. We are on our way out the door with our two children as quickly as possible. When inquiring this week into a relocation to another one of their owned facilities, the center manager told us that they had already done enough for us and she was not interested in meeting with us anytime soon. She was referring to a meeting we had almost a year prior when we considered the same move for various reasons. Both were run by the same company and we ultimately remained in the then current center. Please do not put this operation on your list.....if so, beware! Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more
