The best deep tissue massage! 8/7/2008

This is one of those places that you'll love! and you'll want to go back every week for a massage! I didn't think i'd need a massage more than once a month...but I felt so good after I left every time, that i had to schedule a massage at least twice or three times a month. Tracy is a great massage therapist, she was able to work on the sore spots and release any tension/pain in that area. She knew exactly which muscle to work with for each painful area. Honestly, my lower back and neck have never felt better. I work in an IT company and sit in front of a computer all day, so I really needed some lower back relief. I started seeing Tracy late last year, and the pain is no longer there! So overall, I'm extremely satisfied with Breathing Space Massage. Pros: location, near many restaurants, cushioned table with heat, hot stones, and SOMBRA! more

Best Massage Therapist in Seattle! 7/23/2008

Tracy is an amazing massage therapist! After working in a massage school for 7 years I consider myself a good judge for rating good massage therapists. Tracy is excellent at deep tissue, relaxation and hot stones... and moreover just making you feel so much better after you left than when you came in. The room that she works out of is also very comfortable and so is her massage table with the extra body cushion and heat. Breathing Space is also in a very central location in Seattle and I have never had problems finding street parking. I have recommended her to so many people and will continue to do so... and will continue to book appointments with her as often as possible. Pros: Ambience, comfort, parking and excellent service! more

The most amazing Massage I have ever had 7/23/2008

I was recommended to Tracy by a co-worker last year. I have been in at least 8 car accidents in my life and danced until I was unable to bare all the pain that came with. I love deep tissue work and my co-worker said ?I know someone who can make you cry , if that?s what you are looking for? LOL--- I thought it would be nice to actually have someone do some good, and not like the non-helpful massages some can get away with giving now days. From day one she asked how I had been living with my pain, I replied ?I guess I?m just used to being in pain.? I have been seeing her for about a year now and every time I see her, I feel more and more pain free the day after every session. For a while there I thought it would never get better but my headaches are fewer, and she taught me how to rid fluid in my shins so I can walk without pain on pavment. She is very personable and always asks how I have been. It?s nice to have someone who is there to help heal you, also care about you. Also, those hot rocks are to die for! Location is very convenient and the fact that she is accepted by certain insurances companies--- It just seems too good to be true, thank god it is! Pros: Location, Evening appointments, Price (with insurance), Hot Rocks, Tracy's lovable attitude! Cons: Wish i had more than 30 massages a year with my insurance! LOL more

Phenomenal Licensed Massage Therapist 10/14/2007

I have been a personal trainer for over six years and I completely understand the importance of a great massage therapist. Massage therapy helps in improving and maintaining flexibility, mobility and strength. Tracy has helped me since 2005 to treat and prevent injury and I regard massage therapy as an important part of a strength-training program. I have directed several clients to her because Tracy?s skills are bar-none and she does a complete pre- and post-massage assessment for each session. Her personality is great and the time absolutely flies by ? even during those times when she?s really working the knots out! Tracy has even sent me home with Tiger Balm so I will continue to proactively treat sore muscles even when I can?t get in to see her?she?s a very empathetic professional. I highly recommend Tracy as a licensed massage therapist. John Davidsson, CSCS Pros: Great massage every time, relaxing environment more

Therapeutic Massage that's On-Point 8/29/2007

I started using Tracy after she was recommended to me by my trainer earlier this year. I have a shoulder problem that causes a great deal of pain. It was starting to limit my range of motion. Between the exercises designed by my trainer and Tracy's deep tissue massage, I have far more mobility in my shoulder than when I started. As the shoulder improved I could see the benefit of an ongoing exercise program and have been charging ahead for the better part of a year. Tracy has been there every step of the way helping loosen the muscles that tighten while exercising. One time it's the shoulder next time the leg. Her massages are specific to the issues that I have. She starts each massage with a Q&A session to determine what to work on during that session. At the end of the session, she might have suggestion for things that I can do to minimize reoccurrence of the issue that was the subject of the massage, such as posture, how to stand, etc. I think of her as competent, and all business as far as the massage is concerned. Yet she is witty and personable. I'm so impressed with Tracy and her work that I consider an integral part of my ongoing exercise program. Pros: Excellent Practitioner, concerned for my well being, personable. more

Not only Awesome, A necessity!!! 1/10/2007

Tracy does a very extensive and intense deep tissue massage; and she now combines her deep tissue with hot rocks, giving you the best of both worlds! This double-punch knockout really helps get all the kinks and soreness out. Tracy "interviews" you to identify where your hurting and helps identify what may be causing it [posture, etc]. She is also willing to spend the time on where _you_ need it. I recently worked two 70 hour weeks all at the computer [140hrs in 2 weeks] and she was willing to get "the kink out" of my neck/shoulders. My legs were fine [usually need my calves done from hiking]. She listens and concentrates her efforts on where you need it! I left feeling like I actually had a neck again [and my shoulder no longer felt like it was wrapped around my ear!] She often provides "tips" on how to reduce stress, stretching exercises etc. Tracy is very flexible in her hours and open in the early evening, making it easy to schedule. Location is awesome as is the price." Pros: Deep Tissue; hot rocks; price; location; value more

I felt so much better 12/18/2006

Tracy is so kind and good at what she does. I am a nurse which has caused some back strain as well as having a sports injury. Tracy's work with my back made a world of difference. She is approachable, understanding and skilled. I couldn't believe how nice it was to be pain free. I didn't realize how much pain I was in until it was gone. Thank you! Pros: Ambience, location, Tracy's personality more

Thank you Tracy 12/11/2006

I found Tracy after two years of searching for relief from chronic hip pain. My body responded well from the very first treatment and has been getting better and better over the last few months. Instead of an occasional pain free day, I now have an occasional moment of pain. Tracy has guided me in proper stretching and has helped me take charge of my health again. One fabulous benefit....she also uses hot stone massage to ready the muscles for the deep work they need. Thank you Tracy! Pros: warm & comfortable space more

Any time I am in pain or just for maintenance 12/3/2006

Unbelievable relief when the old muscles start to ache for any number or reasons, sports, crick in the neck, or injury.......convenient, friendly and works......alway grateful. Pros: Ambiance, parking, location more

Great massage 12/3/2006

Tracy is wonderful. She really tries to isolate trouble spots and gives great advice on how you can keep those spots pain free. I didn't even realize how the tightness in my neck and shoulders were contributing to my bad headaches. I've been a regular for months now. Also, her prices are quite reasonable. more
