Fabulous & Unique Indian Cuisine and much more 4/5/2009

Family owned and run. the atmosphere is beautiful and fun and classy. the food is unique and delicious and the servers are kind and generous. The owners are always around and what to make sure your experience is rich and tasty. they will do whatever it takes to make everyone happy. The food is mouth watering without being too spicy. the ingredients are delicate and many are organic without being pricey. The menu is large and there are even half plates so you can try a number of tastes. Yum! I take friends from out of town and in town all the time. Pros: indian food like you have never tasted Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Fun place for family and friends 4/5/2009

Bombay Bistro is an excellent place to relax and enjoy great food. My first visit I was greeted with VIP enthusiasm. Everybody looks forward to seeing you! The professional staff of friendly people will ensure that your visit is a pleasant one. Choose a variety of foods for vegans, meat lovers and seafood explorers. The presentation of the dish is wonderful and the quality is superb. Mango and strawberry salad with cumin seasoned dressing delicious. Mushroom subzi (vegan) absolute paradise. Pork lion with apple chutney says,” my wife the combination of flavors was a melt in your mouth delight.” Tilapia with yellow dill Asian curry is a fresh and savory tease. On Saturday around 7:30 PM in addition to the full bar the restaurant is vibrant with exotic belly dancing. You really should try it! Pros: Talapia more

Superb Indian and Indian fusion cuisine! 4/1/2009

Bombay Bistro serves up great traditional and Indian fusion dishes! They are full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The chicken masala is awesome and much more delicious than you can find at a buffet. The lamb korma is my favorite - the delicate little lamb chomps are swimming in a succulent korma sauce. My husband's favorite is the short ribs - it a spicy, bold sauce that complements the tender juicy short ribs. If you like fruity martinis, the mangotini is a must - not too sweet, not too tart (be careful because they are addictive)! The atmosphere is rich with color, subtly romantic, and modernly hip. The owners (Pari and Paul) are amazing people and strive to make every guest feel like family. Pros: Outstanding food, great atmosphere, and gracious hosts Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

The Best Short Ribs in Boulder 4/1/2009

Right now, many restaurants offer beef short ribs on their menus. This makes it a useful benchmark for comparing restaurants. Bombay Bistro has the best short ribs in Boulder. \r The vegetable samosas, fish pakoras, tandoori chicken wings, and the calamari salad are great ways to start a meal in this warm and friendly venue just off the Pearl Street Mall. Deliciously competent in many traditional recipes, creative chef Paul's innovative menu must be explored by anyone who wants to experience new ways to enjoy Indian spices. Pros: warm welcome, excellent food, attentive service more

AMAZING all around experience 3/30/2009

This restaurant has the best food in Boulder. Every single time we go there at least one of the owners if not both, come over to say hi. They have amazing service and make you feel more than welcome. The short ribs are my favorite but I have never tried a dish that I wasn't completely satisfied with. Be ready for a great food and prices, and an atmosphere for all occasions. I LOVE this place! Pros: guest satisfaction more

Indian Family Cooking with a Flair 3/30/2009

The warmth of service and variety in the luncheon buffet make The Bombay Bistro a gourmet treat and Boulder bargain! The vegetarian korma, onion bhaji, and vindaloo were superb as were the diverse sauces--a curried mayonnaise, mango coulis, and cilantro chutney. Attention to detail and a welcoming atmosphere set the Bistro apart from other restaurants in the area. Pros: Naan None Better! Superior sauces and condiments more

Fantastic Indian Food, Hip and Intimate Ambiance 2/18/2009

I love this place. The first time we went, it was a family celebration. The atmosphere was perfect: quiet enough to converse, yet lively. The food is fantastic. Every bite is a pleasure. There was belly dancing, a beautiful baby who clapped and smiled while the dancer did her magic. The second time we went, we were greeted as if we were family. The third time, we were treated like royalty, but better - more intimately. This is a place that is a real treasure. Pros: Delicious Food, Incredible service, Beautiful setting more

Fantastic Service and Delicious Food 12/26/2008

We went to Bombay Bistro tonight for dinner. We arrived at about 9pm, an hour before the kitchen closed, and were warmly welcomed by the chef/owner. We ordered vegetarian and meat entrees, all of which were authentic and delicious. Since we live in an Indian American community in New Jersey, we have sampled many different Indian cuisines and restaurants, and believe we have high standards for Indian food; this restaurant definitely rates among our favorites.\r \r Perhaps most outstanding are the ambiance and vibe of the restaurant. While the decor is gorgeous and classy, the chef and his wife make the place seem very homey (it helped that they had their baby daughter and her grandmother walking around with them while they served and mingled with the diners). They are extremely gracious and attentive in their service, and we are definitely going back before we leave for the East Coast. Pros: friendly service, family owned and operated, gorgeous decor, convenient location more

best indian food around 11/19/2008

Best Indian Ever 9/30/2007

I went to Bombay Bistro last Thursday and I was blown away by their food and friendly atmosphere. I had never been a fan of Indian food, so I thought but I was pleasantly surprised. The owner, and hostess was very friendly and helpful in my ordering. He recommended the Chicken Masala and the ""Fork-Tender Boneless Beef Short Ribs"". YUM ! My mouth waters as I think about it. \r \r Thanks for a great Meal, even though I live in Denver, I will definitely make the drive and eat at Bombay Bistro again. Pros: Price, Atmosphere, parking Cons: I live in Denver more

Worth the drive 12/11/2006

\r It was amazing! I have never preferred Indian cuisine before, but this changed my mind. It definitely was not traditional Indian cuisine - it had more of a modern twist. I felt like I just got my taste buds and it was the first time I was eating. All the flavors were perfectly balanced and each dish made you more curious - and made you more satisfied. The space was beautiful! Decor, furnishings, tapestry - it was inviting and made you feel like you could stay for hours. The service was unmatched. It didn't matter if it was the owner or the hostess - they all made you feel welcome and were very attentive. It was all about us! And mind you - I don't do this for any restaurant and I have been to the best and this is one of the top ones! Please go - You will love it! Pros: Food, service, atmoshphere, parking more
