To comment on previous reviews: The reason they run out of books that kids need for school is b/c the schools DO NOT always warn us in advance that an army of people are coming for a book that we normally don't sell alot of. So if we don't sell alot we don't stock alot-end of story. 2nd, we have a CUSTOMER SERVICE desk where we're glad to help u/look up books for u just like they help u in music/dvd but alot of the time we get pulled away from the info. desk by customers who frankly are PIGS & never put anything back where they got it from OR at least give it to a bookseller to put away! BUT don't get me wrong I LOVE MY Job & I Love B&N. more

Barnes and Noble is very large and roomy- they have many couches scattered throughout the store and a great kids area with many books. I always find after christmas, etc sales and recently I bought some calendars for only 3 dollars (originally about 12 dollars!) They have a huge selection, of course, but sometimes I cannot find what I'm looking for and they always run out of books that kids need for school. However they're happy to order them. They have a cafe inside as well serving starbucks, cookies, pastries, and more. Magazine section is huge as well! Customer service is helpful. I'll keep coming back. more

Barnes and Boring 7/2/2005

The place might have every book imaginable, but even then they don't have everything a person is looking for. I've been disappointed time and again when I've gone searching for a particular book. They don't seem to have enough of a selection when I look in the areas I like to buy my books from. The employees don't exactly go out of their way to help you either unless you go into the music and movies section where they seem to watch you like a hawk. The prices for these items are more than I'm willing to spend at times. The only pleasant thing about going to this store is the fact that Starbucks is located right inside. more
