Very happy to be at ACA 3/4/2012

My 2 year old son has been enrolled in this school since October, and he loves it. He goes to school and leaves school every day with a smile on his face! He is learning so much - one of the things I love about ACA is that they really are a school, and not just a ""daycare"". My son is getting a great, age-appropriate education that meets his individual needs. We noticed two big changes in him after just a few weeks after ACA. One is that he started taking a huge interest in puzzles, where before he always ignored the ones we had at home. He started taking them out every day and completing them! The other thing is that he started cleaning up after himself without being asked - pretty impressive for a 2 year old! He has also developed such great manners - he says ""please"", ""thank you"", ""excuse me"" and even ""bless you"" when someone sneezes - and he has gotten all of this from his experience at ACA. They also offer a music class there that he absolutely loves. And there's always fun events, activities, and ""school spirit"" days throughout the year, which makes things interesting and fun for the kids. The staff are very caring and kind individuals - they have all taken the time to get to know my son and it feels like a warm, family-oriented environment - nothing like a cold, impersonal, ""money-making"" business (which we have experienced elsewhere in the past). I am really glad we found ACA - we couldn't ask for much more in a school for our son! more

Not a Montessori school 10/11/2011

ACA is advertised as a Montessori school, but they do not have adequate Montessori Certified teachers. If you expect Montessori education from them, then beware, this is not the place for you. They just have ONE Montessori certified teacher in the entire school, and she is in-charge of overlooking all the classes. This just means that your child will never get the attention or the Montessori education he/she is entitled to. We were looking for a new Montessori school for my son as his main teacher from his previous school had quit, so I enrolled my son and requested to be put in the class of the only Montessori certified teacher they have, but he was put in the other class. After a week of monitoring and listening to their excuses, I was told that the only certified teacher visits & over-looks both classes. I protested at that because I think that if one teacher is entrusted to control two classes, that would result in sub-par Montessori education to students of both classes. My protest was just dismissed as school policy & their business practice. I then withdrew my son immediately and requested a refund, which Mrs Gupta never sent, citing their business practice of not offering refunds. If the school were to staff Montessori certified teacher separately for both the Primary classes, my concern would have been addressed, but apparently, they did not do that. In my opinion this school is run as with shoddy & deceptive business practices & false advertising and not at all with children's well-being in mind. So if you are looking for a day-care, this should be OK for you (I would still advice you to look for better run day-cares than this), but if you are looking for Montessori education for your child, you should definitely avoid this school. more

The best preschool you much visit. 2/15/2011

This is truly a great school, both my kids likes to go to school very much, they had a lot of fun and enjoy everyday with teachers and friends here. My first child is very sensitive and she cried a lot at other schools, after joining ACA, she told mommy she really likes here and she really had a very happy time. Meanwhile, while other daycare don't rally tell parents about your child, ACA stuffs really cares children and always share kid pictures and learning experiences. Besides, while we don't speak English at all at home, both of my kids learn speaking, writing and even reading English at ACA, I am very surprised my daughter learned so much from teachers/classmates in ACA. It's really amazing! In addition, Dr. Maria Montessori's educational philosophy is really great. My daughter really changed a lot and become much more independent and self-confidence. She also learned from the big kids and also know how to take good care of the younger ones. I highly recommend you come to visit this place as soon as possible. There are much more than your eyes can see, all the parents are really great and care, too. I really appreciate The Gupta's effort for all the ACA kids, parents, and stuffs. more

The Best in Child Care! 1/27/2011

My 2 year old daughter attends ACA and I am absolutely thrilled with our experience. She has become so much more independent, social and has grown so much academically! Within a month of starting there, she began to use two word phrases. I would absolutely recommend ACA to anyone who is looking for a child care center. They will make you feel at home, at ease and very confident about leaving your child there. None of us want to leave our kids in any facility while we go off to work, but, sometimes we have no choice. Thankfully, Austin Children's Academy is there to make it all better. more
