The best kept secret in Queen Anne? 3/9/2009

Why is this place not packed every night? The superb ambiance, attentive service, tasty cocktails, and some of the best appetizers in town. Don't miss the coconut prawns. Seriously. They are not to be overlooked! Dinner menu is really good, perhaps not as spectacular as the appetizers, but still really good. Pros: Atmosphere, service, food, cocktails, location Cons: None that I can see more

The food has been recomended for years by my mom...I went to their website which said they were not closed during lunch hours...they were! So two hours later we returned to pay double...I payed for extra pita and got only 1. I came back and they corrected their mistake by giving me 3 more which was nice....but then I fouund an eyebrow hair in my food and a knat! Gross....the foos is good but could be more sanitary and less forgetfull. Pros: food and service Cons: food delivery more

Warm, kind service & the food's delicious! 1/26/2006

I've eaten at both the Q.A. location & the one in Bellevue. Nearly always seated promptly, the tastes just start coming: a basket of warm pita bread, delicious lentil soup, salad with their signature garlicky dressing... and then the humongous entrees. They are attentive to guests, checking to make sure things like water, coffee (great Turkish coffee), etc are replenished. I love the Farmer's Dish of tangy & garlicky plump chicken wings over rice with their great garlic bechamel. But I'd almost incite violence to get at their lamb shawarma. The Bellevue location is more romantic. But it's not a diner as intimated by a previous post. It's simply a small restaurant with around 20 tables. I've enjoyed a few dates there & it felt warm, delicious and cozy to us. In fact, I'll be having a hopefully fantastic 1st date there this Sunday! That is all. Pros: Warm staff, Delicious foods, They deliver! Cons: Not really romantic, Parking's an issue, Not open 24 hours more

Good Food, Slightly Suspect Service 4/28/2005

I think the food was good, not great but good. I also thought the service was efficient, but a little forced and not warm. I pick up a strange vibe there and there seems to be a lot of rules. I thought the food was flavorfull, but not spicy as everyone else says. It is a de3cent place to get Mediterranean if you are in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't want to make a special trip. There are far better places. Pros: Flavor Cons: Price, Forced Service more

Yummy Chicken 10/22/2004

There are many ways to prepare chicken in this world and definitely some of the most delicious preparations, regardless of cuisine, are done here at Med Kitchen. Breast, thighs and wings are done especially well here. Portions are hearty and come with soup, salad and pita bread so there is really no need to order an appetizer. End your delicious meal with a cup of soothing Turkish coffee. Pros: chicken, hearty portions, garlic more

MMMM MMMM Good! 4/2/2003

If you like garlic, this is the place for you! The salad dressing is a garlic lovers paradise. I have been coming here for several years, and have not had a meal less than great. I have sampled many of the dishes, but always go back to the Farmers dish, a feast of garlicky marinated chicken wings served on a bed of rice. The house red wine is good, as well as the Turkish coffee and baklava. more

Med Kitchen 2/15/2003

Your rating showed this at an overall 9.7. There is a ""kitchen"" ambiance which was definitely not a ""romantic"" setting. You should clarify for people that this is more of a diner than a ""romantic restaurant"" and no reservations necessary-even on Valentine's Day-if that tells you anything. The service was very good and the value for your money was as well. more

Delicious 11/17/2002

If you looking for a dining experience and/or traveling with a car with a trunk (for the aromatic leftovers) then drop by and eat half the meal and reheat the rest for your next meal or just skip a meal and have a double sized meal for about a dozen bucks. Their standard soup and salad are good as are all their entrees. The service is fairly good as well but this is a place for ""dining"" not for chowing down a quick meal with the kids, pet dog, etc. OK? So if you're looking for a nice meal before a show I'd rate this place very highly. They are also vegitarian friendly so you can invite friends and not worry about their preferences. Their dishes do tend to be spicy and pungent but you can order certain dishes they lack this quality if desired. Pros: YUMMY!, Large Portions, Free Parking Cons: Not for light eaters, Large Portions, Limited Drinks more
