I love this place, beautifully appointed, delicious mediterreanean cuisine paired with great wines. Really love the ambiance, and the server, while slow, was very gregarious and knew a lot about what she was doing. Obviously a passionate place.
Pros: Wine, Environs
Cons: Service was a little slow

After searching for a place to host my saturday night birthday party we settled for Marrakesh Moroccan restaurant because of a delicious sounding menu, nice looking location and very reasonable event prices. We were sitted in the back room. And my gosh!!! You don't even believe you are still in seattle. The place will take you to thousand and one night. Sitting under a tent, cushions on the floor, low light and an amazing belly dancer, made this place look like we were really in North Africa. Our waiter was very very friendly and handled our large party with grace. The food was delicious (especially the powder sugar chicken). I had a great party night here and highly recommend Marrakesh Moroccan Restaurant:)
Pros: atmosphere, price, and delicious belly dancer
Cons: plan to reserve a table at least 2 weeks ahead of time

I went to Eva's on a 5th date. We had a great time. The ambience is nice, low lights and grape vines. We arrived on a Wednesday night kinda early, and were glad to see it was not dead nor crowded. The server was nice , not snobby. The Food! It's really good! We had an a starter of pureed vegetable and pita, that was really delicious & full of flavor. For the main dish we had the Fresh tuna noodle dish, and I had the chick pea curry. Both were really good. And of coarse the wine selection is diverse.. A range of prices there. As for overall price we paid $60 with out tip, for one starter ,3 glasses of wine , and two entrees. When I go out my check list is:
#1 atmosphere, then service and then great fresh food. Out of the three the food stands out as the star.
Eva's Restaurant & Wine Bar is top notch for what I look for in a intimate spot. 5 Stars!
Pros: delicious, fresh ,unique food
Cons: cook be too expensive for some

I took my girlfriend out to Mona's last Friday night for our weekly date night. When we arrived (around 6:30pm) the lounge and dining room were already busy, but we were greeted immediately, and we fortunately were able to get a table. Their wine list looked pretty extensive, but we decided on cocktails that night. The martini was one of the best I've had in a while. The food was excellent, too. You HAVE to try the arugula salad. They drizzle truffled honey over it, and the slice of goat cheese over the top was to die for! All in all I'd say we had a great experience at Mona's. Since we went in on a Friday, it was a little loud, although still relaxed. If you're looking for something quiet, maybe earlier in the week would be better.
Pros: Ambience, Service, Food

From the outside window it just looks like a small bar, but a fair sized dining room is inside. The tiny bar is usually busy and the dining room was packed on my last visit. The dining area is a bit cramped. The walls are stocked with bottles of wine. A chilled mood is set with the dim candle lights and upbeat ambient groove music. The setting is good for a date or a hangout with a couple of friends (keep in mind that the tables are small). The tastiness of the food is what stands out for me. My recommendations are the organic spinach, pepperoni pizza, and duck leg confit. The duck is fantastic: very tender and falling off the bone. It?s also very rich. The robust flavors of the pizza and fresh frites are good with a red wine. A ? order of the plantain chips is the way to go for a small appetizer. The service has been great: attentive, giving good menu advice, and positive attitude. Marjorie is now one of my favorite joints with a funky ambiance.
Pros: Decent Prices, Decent Proportions, Environment
Cons: Belltown Parking, Cramped Dining Area

If you are looking for an authentic Greek taverna experience in Seattle, Panos Kleftiko is the closest thing. The atmosphere is warm and cosy with tables very close to each other, pictures and decorations on the walls, good Greek music, and a relaxed and friendly staff. Panos, the owner, is there every night and frequently sits down to chat with the guests and make sure they know what's good that day.
But what makes the place really great is the food. The gigantes yahni (lima beans) are delicious, as is the Greek salad and the lamb dishes. The taramosalata (egg roe salad) melitzanosalata (eggplant salad) and tirokafteri (spicy cheese spread), spread on authentic Greek pitta bread are fantastic.
The one thing to know before you go is that many of the dishes have a lot of garlic. I personally like that a lot, but you will have to watch it after you leave or the morning after - one trick that works well for me is eat some fresh parsley after dinner, it does wonders.
Pros: Authentic food and atmosphere
Cons: Must love garlic

The Continental is a great family-run Seattle institution. They have all the standard dishes one would typically expect from a Greek restaurant, and they are all up to snuff. A great place to go for lunch if you are in the U-District (especially if you have a little time to leisurely enjoy some baklava and Greek coffee after your meal) or even better to go with your family for dinner. They also have a selection of Greek wine and groceries for those who want to bring something home.
