Incredibly poor salesperson, or amazingly small selection. Sent an email when we made the appt, saying what style the bride is looking for, with a couple of example from the lines they carry. Got an email back saying they have lots to choose from in that style. When we arrived the salesgirl brought a different style, "their most popular dress". To be nice, we all said it was pretty, so she brought 6 more just like it. Can we see the style we asked for in the email? What email? It was like pulling teeth, but she finally reluctantly brought a couple in the style we wanted. "That's all we have in that style". Really? Fit and flare, trumpet, or mermaid? The Ania Bridal employee who helped me pick the perfect dress was awesome! Her name is Rachel and the shop has a great staff of very helpful associates and beautiful dresses for all budgets. My dress was amazing and was only $900! Rachel even accommodated my coming in several times to show visiting relatives my gown before my wedding! more

Just bought my Allure Bridal dress from AniA (July 2011) and had a great experience! Emily was fabulous- super nice and helpful without being pushy at all. I loved the atmosphere of the whole place too- it was classy without being stuffy. I would recommend this place to anyone! more

I had THE BEST experience at AniA Bridal. I had a unique situation in that my first wedding dress was ruined by my seamstress (she was not associated with AniA, and my first dress was not from this store.) I finally accepted that my dress would not be wearable and that I would have to find a new one 2 months before my wedding. I was so stressed out and distraught by this! However, Morgan, of AniA bridal, was my hero. She made me feel comfortable and at ease as soon as I met her. She was very professional, offered me something to drink, took me back to wear I'd be trying on dresses and intently listened to me describe my dream wedding dress. She was very empathetic to my situation and treated me like she was helping her best friend rather than someone she had just met. Luckily for me, AniA just had a sample sale. Morgan listened to the things I said I liked and didn't like in a wedding dress, and I was shocked at how many gorgeous dresses she pulled for me to try on that I loved. When I had originally looked at other bridal shops, dresses that the associates pulled for me made me wonder if they were even listening to what I said I wanted. Her style is impeccable and I quickly learned I could trust her on all her suggestions and opinions. She was extremely patient with me the whole time, never making me feel rushed or pressured. She even asked me half way through our session if I had changed my mind about having something to drink as we were running a little long. UNBELIEVABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The other girls who worked there were also very sweet. After I decided on a dress, one of the girls behind the cashier's desk asked if she could give me a hug which was very welcomed! I could go on and on with more details about this wonderful experience but I'll stop rambling and recommend this: Make sure you make an appointment at AniA if you're looking for a wedding dress. You will not be disappointed! I can guarantee you I will be bringing in all my friends when they get engaged! more

All the dresses I saw were old, dirty or missing beads etc..!! I was told they couldn't order my dress unless I paid an extra $300 for shipping because my wedding is in september. To Top it off...MY PARTY WAS PUT IN BACK AND WHEN I WENT TO THE FRONT TO USE THE LARGE MIRROR I NOTICED ALL THE OTHER CUSTOMERS HAD EITHER WINE OR WATER IN CHAMPAGNE GLASSES! I GUESS WE WERE NOT THE RIGHT COLOR!!! BUT HAD THE RIGHT COLOR OF MONEY!! NO I DIDNT BUY ANYTHING FROM THERE. more

Ania Collection saved my life! seriously i don't know what would I do without them. I came in panicked one month before my wedding after several shops told me that it was too late to place in order. The staff were more gladly to assist me from zero step till I found the dress that fits my dream. I absolutely recommend Ania Collection ! more

AniA was the second place I looked for a wedding dress. I was very happy with the immediate greeting and Morgan was great. I told her what I was looking for and my max price for a dress and she brought out about 5 dresses. The second one she chose for me was the one I walked out with. The associates were more than welcoming and helpful to me and my 4 friends. However, my dress and veil needed to be ordered and I was told I would have the veil in a few weeks and the dress in 5 months. My dress arrived on time, but still no veil. I am pretty sure they forgot to order it. Then I was told I would have my veil in 2 weeks. 4 weeks later...no veil. I went into the store and the associate asked multiple employees to help locate my veil with no success. I was certain it still was not ordered. Finally 2 weeks before my wedding I was given my veil. I would recommend that if you purchase anything from AniA that needs to be ordered, follow up often so you do not run into the ordeal. Other than that, I was very happy with everything else. more

The staff is amazing, actually staff named Devinnie is amazing. I had an one on one 90 consultation with her, and she made me feel so comfortable I wanted it to last forever!! To be honest trying on dresses can be so overwhelming for brides to be, the pressure of finding the perfect dress can be just so stressful, so why visit a boutique that makes you feel like no body?? Take my advise, give them a call... you will walk out of there feeling good, and find yourself closer to understanding the styles you like at least! more

I NEVER write reviews, however, I was so happy with my shopping experience here i had to write one! I visited 4 different places in Portland while on my first wedding dress shopping trip. AniA stood out as the best by far. I had an AWFUL ( and I mean horrible) experience at the store down the block ( I think its called silver lining or something like that) my scheudled appointment lasted less than 15 minutes there because it was so awful. I had an appointment at AniA scheduled for later in the day, but decided to stop in and see if they had an earlier time. The women were all VERY pleasant and helpful. Of course the store was very busy because 2 major trunk shows were going on, so I wasn't able to get my appointment in much earlier (totally understandable) The sales people and the owner were very helpful when I asked about other stores to possibly check out while I tried to kill time for 2 hours... They didn't seem defensive or hesitant to offer other suggestions for places to look. When I came back for my appointment, They were able to get me in a half hour earlier than expected. Helena was my helper and I can't say enough about how great she is! I must have tried on over 20 dresses and she never got annoyed or rushed me. After almost 2 hours, I had it narrowed down to 3 dresses.. I couldn't decide because I loved them all. BUT between Helena, 3 other associates, the owner, and my mom...I FINALLY found my dream dress. AniA made my dreams of having an Alvina dress come true, and I can not thank them enough! The sales people are GREAT (very helpful, patient, and have a great eye for what looks good) one thing to note, the store is a little small, however, They are moving to a new location sometime in October. This place is AWESOME and I would not recommend anyone other than AniA..... THANK YOU ANIA!!!!!! more

I never write these, but I had such a great experience at Ania that I feel I need to highlight it for other brides. I went in thinking I wanted one style, and was VERY distraught to find that the cut I had in mind didn't work with my body type. Luckily, I met Morgan. One look at her and you know she knows fashion. After only talking to her for a few minutes she already had multiple dresses that had the same fun/classy/modest/unique vibe as the dress I thought I liked, but in dresses that would look good on me. Ania bridal in Portland, Oregon was the best wedding gown shopping experience I've had. The gowns are high quality - you can feel the difference in the fabric and there is a wide selection of gowns to select from. I went to Charlotte's, Devine Design, Anna's and yes, even David's Bridal, and Morgan from Ania was the most friendly, supportive, helpful, and discerning person I met. I am a newly engaged bride to be, and my first experience bridal gown shopping was at Ania Collection. My bridal consultant, Rachel, did a fantastic job. Within seconds of what I explained I wanted my dress to look like, she had 5-6 dresses pulled out. When I was torn between two style I loved, she asked questions that allowed me to analyze which one I really felt like a princess in. She was very kind and she really made this experience a very very delightful and joyful one. The customer service I received here does not compare to any other bridal shop in Portland, OR. My mother had fallen in love with a beautiful Badgley-Mischka gown in NY where we live, but no one was able to get it in time for my wedding less than three months away. I went in to AniA when I first got engaged purely out of excitement. They have beautiful dresses from a number of my favorite designers and some that I didn't even know how much I loved! I hadn't really formulated an idea of what I was looking for yet and just wanted to get a sense of how different styles looked on me. I can understand how it might be trying for people to work on commission to spend their time and efforts on someone that has no intent of buying anything, but the woman who was helping my (Karen I think?) really seemed to share my excitement. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable and welcoming, but she did a great job of showing me a wide range of styles and helping me decide which few to focus on when I'm ready to dress shop for keeps. Due to an unforeseen situation, my now husband and I had to bump up our wedding date and had to plan it all in 4 weeks....including finding a dress! After having been a bridesmaid several times, I knew that there would be no way to order a dress at a bridal salon and have it altered quickly enough, so I bought a dress online. Disaster. Thankfully a friend brought me to Ania. Once I walked in, I was doubtful that I could find anything in my price range because beautiful, expensive dresses were dripping of the wall. Sweet Karyn was my fairy god mother. For real. She asked me "if you could have any dress you wanted regardless of price or time frame, what would it look like?" I thought I would humor her, confident that I wouldn't find a dress. Wrong. She buzzed around the store, picked out several options and within minutes I had two amazing dresses that I couldn't believe were in my price range. I cried, my friend with me cried and even Karyn got a little teary eyed. Jennifer did an amazing job altering it and super quickly (less than a week!). She transformed an already perfect dress into something I absolutely adored. AND she made sweet flowers from the scrap fabric for my hair. A lot of amazing things happened for my last minute wedding to be perfect- Karyn, Jennifer and the Ania staff were on the top of that list.
