Went over to have a .75 diamond set into a newly purchased 14K white gold amazing ring. It was flat edged, sleek, modern - 3mm in width all around. The butcher at Alpha named John destroyed the ring while mounting the diamond in the setting. His tools should be used to shuck oysters - not use on fine gold. He nicked the ring so badly and put digs in the ring so bad that he polished at least 1mm off in spots when I complained. He should be sued. The ring is destroyed, never trust this man to touch your precious and valuables. Now I have to repurchase a new 3MM ring and find a trustworthy professional who knows how to set a diamond.
The band was expensive and now need to go through purchasing and setting again.
This husband and wife team may have been in business for many years but certainly are not qualified to set diamonds or work on fine gold.
