As soon as I walked in for a tour, I knew there was no way I would leave my child in care here. The whole place had a very negative vibe. The infant room was staffed by childcare students who made no eye contact with the babies, did not talk to them or interact with them. They seemed like unhappy employees. The woman giving the tour knelt down to one little baby boy, and in a mean tone said, ""You're as fat as the Michelin man,"" then knelt over to another little baby, and in a sweet voice said, ""Oh, aren't you so cute!"" Babies are little sponges who pick up on tone of voice, and that's how she talks to a little baby?! Another woman who worked there had open sores around her mouth - nope, don't need to put my baby at risk of getting oral herpes. This was a very unnurturing, negative environment. Every other daycare I've toured in Seattle has been far superior to this.
