Happy with ADT 12/17/2010

I just had my ADT security system installed by MHB Security and the installers did such a great job. I was very happy with the sales staff who created a customized solution for my home. Thanks a lot! I strongly recommend MHB Security if you are looking for a security system. The also have a referral program so you can get $100 for every person that comes through you and signs up as a new customer. Great job MHB Security! more

With ADT's alarm system at home, I feel safe whenever I sleep at night. I am not married and I live alone so it really would worry me when I sleep at night, whether someone would break in etc. Thank you ADT for keeping me company! more

The main reason why people install home security systems is to make our home a safer place to live in, ADT has been protecting my home for a long time and I am really impressed with their product and services. It is a bit expensive as compared to other home alarms. more

Just Can't Understand 11/28/2010

ADT has yet to refund my $1032.78 due to a billing error (double billing) since 11/2006 through 11/2009. We have been a ADT customer since 1993 and makes no difference. I am due my refund, as acknowledged by ADT but still can not get my money back. However, I still getting bills because they had two accounts set up for us. Problem has been recognized by ADT for over two months. Also, they set up one of the accounts on automatice checking account withdrawal (which was the beginning of the problems), which we did not authorize (I have the original paper work when the upgrade was done in 11/2006). more

I go for ADT 11/25/2010

I decided to get ADT a few months ago after increased crime in my community. I called on a Tuesday and the installer was there on Wednesday. I had a few false alarms as I got used to the system, but the staff was always courteous and nice to me, no matter what! more

contract NEVER stays the same 11/23/2010

My Husband & I signed with ADT in September of 2001 to have our home alarm system equipment installed & agreed to a 3 year monitoring contract, 5 years later we turned off our alarm service with ADT. In 2008 due to an increase in crime in our area I called ADT to begin monitoring again, we already had our ADT equipment in our home. The representive came to the house & the papers were signed- so again I was locked into a 3 year contract just because I wanted to restart servies- NO SYSTEM HAD TO BE INSTALLED AT THAT TIME. 2009 we sold our home & begin building a new home- I did not have ADT service at my home for 1 year & a half-due to building, but had to contine paying ADT when they were not even providing service because they were going to charge me with an very high cancelation fee. They CLAIM you can transfer you contract anywhere in the US- but beware because when you transfer- keep in mind they will not let you out of the existing contract, SO THEY CLAIM, & if you try to tranfer they expect you to sign another 3 year contract, just because you moved. They WILL NOT let you transfer only what's left of your existing contract. Also they will raise your monthly rate to whatever they desire. The monthly rate agreed upon in the contract NEVER stays the same- they increase it 2-3 times a year. I just want to pass this on to anyone needing an alarm system. more
