A Few Good Movers

I was very happy with A Few Good Movers. They did an excellent job and exceeded my expectations, which is rare these days. They listened to what I needed to accomplish, and they had the tools, equipment, and the people to do it. The people were knowledgeable and seemed to be very competent as well. Jason was kind of the lead person, and there was another fellow whose first name was Frawn. He was kind of an older fellow who was very knowledgeable on how to do things. I just had some situations that they immediately adapted to and they got things done faster than expected. This kind of quality service doesn't happen often enough, and I'm very happy to give this report. I would not only refer them, but I would call them again for their services. I investigated all kinds of moving companies on the internet, and A Few Good Movers had great reviews. I called them, and I was very impressed with the friendliness of the guy on the phone. He came right out, and he was even willing to come out on a day there was a snow storm. I thought that was really nice. He walked through the whole house with my husband and me. After looking at all our stuff, he gave an estimate that was fair, better than anyone else's. He also made some recommendations on how the move could be more cost effective, which I thought was really great. When they actually came to do the work, I was amazed at how effective they were! The three of them worked in a team, and they had it down. There was no fooling around. I didn't think they could fit everything in the truck, but they did because they did such a good job packing. They got everything here on time, and the unpacking went very smoothly. We were thoroughly pleased! Just because they are a small company without a ton of advertising, don't overlook them. I would go with these people again, and I've already recommended them to a friend who is moving. They are a family business, and they do really care about your stuff. Moving is a stressful ordeal for a family, but these guys gave us reprieve from that stress! more

A Few Good Movers moved belongings of mine that were antiques into a home that had been freshly painted and the floors were freshly redone. I was nervous about them scratching and bumping into things. They were incredibly careful with all of my things. From start to finish, they were great and I appreciated the attention to their work and detail. more

A Few Good Movers offers very dependable service. I hired them to move my possessions from one home to another. They sent two movers who were very prompt, professional, and courteous. I did the packing myself, and they loaded and unloaded everything. I was able to direct them on where to place everything in the new home. It was a good experience. A Few Good Movers was on time and came equipped with enough men to move big pieces. They were all extremely friendly and did a good job. I am not aware of any damages at all. They kept on working through the whole move and were very efficient. They had to take apart a treadmill and put it back together again. They did a very good job with that. I'm very pleased. They had a very fair price. I hadn't used them before, although I had heard from two other people who were very pleased with them. Get them! Use them; they're great! I don' t know if it's feasible, but if I can work it out with them, I'm going to get them to move us to Chicago. I was very glad to get them when we wanted to and that there wasn't overtime on Saturday. more

A Few Good Movers were very careful with my belongings. Nothing got damaged, which has definitely happened with other movers. The biggest thing that made this a good experience was that they were cautious with my possessions and made sure to keep them intact. more

I had Jason and the Few Good Movers crew assist me as we moved my mother out of her home of 37 years into a new town house. We were packing another moving truck with the smaller boxes at the same time that they were loading all of the heavy furniture. They were very courteous and worked around the areas where we had things piled up in boxes. I was shocked at how easily they moved some very large desks, chairs, antique furniture and even a hide-a-bed sofa that must have weighed 300 pounds without touching the walls! The next day they showed up at the new town house and were very good at following my mother’s directions as to where she wanted things places. Again, they were very skillful in moving things down stairs, around corners and into rooms. I would/ and will be using their services in the future, and would most certainly recommend them to anyone looking to move. Believe me, it’s worth it to have them move your heavy furniture!! more

A Few Good Movers moved twice for us, first from our home into a temporary residence and from there into a new home we had built. They did a great job. They didn't wreck any walls or damage anything. They were very conscious of things like putting floormats down and everything stayed within budget. more

A Few Good Movers was really good. The guys showed up right when they said they were gonna be there, and they got everything moved. They were very accommodating with what we needed. They even got everything situated in the house after they were done moving it all in, and they did everything we asked. They asked if there was additional stuff they could help with, like setting stuff up before they left. We had also asked them to put down additional blankets to walk through the house and it all went really well. It was also really hot that day, and I thought it was really nice of them to move us on that hot Saturday. more

They worked hard, they were efficient, and they were very nice. I felt safe and comfortable. I have already recommended them. They were extraordinary. They were true gentlemen. I felt they genuinely cared about my move and me as a person. They were fun yet professional, and they worked every single minute. They worked really hard. I have used a lot of different movers in the past, and a Few Good Movers is probably the most pleasant company I have used. I have actually used them more than once. The first time I used them, they had to travel across the length of the entire state in blizzard conditions, yet they still manged to do the work in the time they said. They were incredible. A Few Good Movers are very easy to work with. They are pleasant and nothing slowed them down. I have no broken materials and the cost was reasonable. I have no complaints. I had heard about A Few Good Movers from friends who had used their service and had a good experience. They were really excellent movers: nice, helpful, and they made sure that everything was packed well. They also answered all of my questions. This was a big move -- a 3-bedroom house -- so there was a lot of stuff. A Few Good Movers went out of their way and took very good care of my antiques. Nothing was damaged. I have used them twice and I would recommend to others. We had a situation where a couch would not fit up a stairway in an apartment and they hauled it out and over to a different stairway. They really put in a great effort to get the job done! They are clean, careful and very reasonable. more
