Worst

pie

I would allow myself to support this place, even with their inflated prices on pizza, if they servied dessert pie too. Pros: pizza Cons: no dessert pie

Can be hit or miss with kids 12/11/2012

Pros: Good Pizza Kids of most taste will love. Nice communal table for families and larger groups. Kid friendly and attentive staff,... more

Enough with the Over Price Pizza 1/3/2011

Having my own wood burning pizza oven at my house I do like to go to other restaurants to try out new ways to make pizza. This place is over priced, has a terrible atmosphere, and bad crust.\r \r Enough of living off the Tom Douglas name!!!!!!! more

Now this IS Serious Pie!! 3/20/2010

After having the best pizza in New York, I tried Serious Pie for the first time a few weeks ago and I'm sold! I've tried the truffle mushroom and yukon potato pizza, but the best by far is the traditional Margherita Pizza (buffalo mozzarella with basil and marinara). The Italian pink salt they sprinkle on top adds just the right finish. Their house wine is also very affordable and quite tasty! Pros: only the best pizza I've ever had!!!, good wine, good servic Cons: a little pricy, long wait (but well worth it) more

seriously yummy 2/8/2010

The wait is worth it, and I love that you don't need reservations. It is casual, but the food is yummy! The apps can be a tad on the small side, so kinda junk for sharing beyond 2 people, but that is okay because you want to leave room for your own pizza, and dessert! I love their crust, iced tea, seasonal toppings/specials, and once you get in, the service is nice. if you are lucky enough to go during a non-peak hour, the service ends up being great! i love the communal tables, so as you are waiting for your food you can narc on what other people have ordered. Pros: good food, reasonable price Cons: there can be a considerable wait more

Great pizza, rude service - will never go back 10/17/2009

We saw Serious Pie on the Food Network's ""Best Pizza in the Country"" show a while back and planned to go there on a very special occasion in Seattle, months in advance. We get fairly excited over good pizza, growing-up Italian and having travelled all over Italy. Long story short we (a group of 5 mature and friendly adults) encountered an unprofessional and somewhat rude employee that completely ruined the evening for us. Yes, the pizza is very good, possibly even one of the best spots in the country, but we'll never return. Seems their growing reputation has given some of them a very large ego. Pros: Pizza was very good Cons: Service more

Pizza Times Ten 10/3/2008

From everything I'd heard about Serious Pie, I expected nothing less than great from this buzzing pizza joint. Yet after just one bite of my house special--buffalo ricotta, rosemary, porcini, and parmesan--pizza, I was an instant convert. Delicate and distinct flavors shined from my pie, allowing my brain to conjure up more adjectives than just 'salty'. My husband's pizza resembled your more average red sauce, cheese and sausage deal, but the small cherry bomb peppers left the perfect amount of pop and sizzle- enough to make out the earthy fennel sausage, and with just enough cool for the next tasty bite. So already I am 2 for 2 with the pizza, and I can't wait to go back and experiment with totally novel and exciting flavor combinations. Pros: service, atmosphere more

Amazing 9/11/2008

A friend made me a salmon dish featured in Tom Douglas' cook book and it was absolutely incredible. I then saw Tom on the Food Network show Iron Chef. I was intrigued and thought that his food looked amazing. I thought I would try out one of his resaurants and selected Serious Pie. OH MY GOODNESS. Amazing doesn't even describe. I have now been to this restuarant numerous times and I have never been disappointed. Each time is an introduction to new combinations of flavors that you would never expect on a pizza but are delighted to enjoy. It isn't inexpensive, but it is well worth the money. I have gone on weeknights and weekends and because it is rather small it can get crowded especially on the weekends but it is so worth the wait. Pros: not ordinary boring pizza Cons: parking is tough and it can get crowded ....but worth the wait! more
