Definitely happy 11/25/2020

I would absolutely recommend this hospital. I have been very happy with my husband’s care. Believe me, if I wasn’t happy, you’d know it. I’m not bashful. All the staff have been so nice to me, my daughter, and my husband from day one on. I really appreciate the great care he has gotten here. more

I am pleased 11/25/2020

I am here because my daughter picked this place. She knew somebody that knew somebody that worked here. Even though I wasn’t involved in that decision, I am pleased that I am here. The nurses have been kind and come help when I use my call light. They listen to me, even though I have a tendency to ramble on. They try to answer my questions, even though they are pretty hard questions. My room is cleaned every day. I would definitely recommend this hospital. more

Good care 11/25/2020

My husband is receiving good care here at Kindred. All of the staff have been so nice. They try to fix any issue right away. His room was cold and they addressed it right away. My daughter calls and talks to the Chief Clinical Office almost every day, who is happy to update her on his progress. I don’t have to worry about him because I know he is being taken care of. I certainly would recommend this hospital. more

Excellent staff 11/25/2020

Our son received excellent care at Kindred South. Every staff member we met was kind to him and to us. When he first arrived at Kindred, he was not responding to us and he was dependent on a ventilator. Due to the care he received from all the different disciplines, he was able to wean off the ventilator, wake up, gain some strength, and be discharged to a rehab program. The reason we chose Kindred South is because of the patient advocate, Trisha. From the moment we met her and throughout our son’s stay there, she provided us with the compassion and support that we needed so badly. We would definitely recommend this hospital. more

Excellent care 11/16/2020

I am so happy with the care I have received here at Kindred South. I can’t thank everyone enough. Every single person who has come into my room has been kind to me. My daughter and my boyfriend are also impressed and grateful for the excellent care and kindness I have received. The staff are nice to them, too. Thanks to everyone’s help, I have come a long way in my recovery. I would most definitely recommend this hospital, and I WILL! Thank you, thank you, thank you! more

I’ve come so far 11/16/2020

I would like to thank everyone here at Kindred South. They’ve all been great. Kay at night is real nice. Anyone who comes in the room has been nice. I don’t have nothing bad to say about this hospital. Nothing. I would recommend this hospital because of my experience here. Where I started when I got here and where I am now: I have come so far. If you have to be in a hospital, this is a good one. From the top to the bottom, people do what they’re supposed to to and they’re nice. more

They treated me very well 10/30/2020

I would recommend this hospital, absolutely, because they treated me very well. This is the best hospital I’ve ever been in. I’ve had to battle my way back from Covid and Kindred Hospital St. Louis South absolutely helped me do that. I was a wreck when I got here, barely able to move, I was so weak. I was on a lot of oxygen. Somehow they were able to get me up and moving and down enough on my oxygen that I am now able to go home! There is no way to thank them enough. They all treated me so well. They were wonderful 10/28/2020

The whole nursing staff was wonderful to me and my wife. I have had NO complaints my entire stay here. Somehow, they helped me wean my oxygen down to nothing while sitting and only a little when walking. Yes, they got me walking again! I came here so weak from my battle with Covid, and now, because of how much they have helped me and I’ve tried my best to help myself, I am ready to go home and sit on the porch and watch the birds. Home at last! more

They cared for me 10/27/2020

I would recommend this hospital because of the care, the attention, and everything overall was very good. They literally helped me get back on my feet! They also helped me understand that I am not the only one out there that needs help; there are many others who are worse off than me. I now see that it is ok to need help. If I needed this level of care again, I would definitely come back here. The staff have been so caring, checking in on me often. I rarely had to use my call light! There are a few staff that I especially want to thank: Donna at the nurses’ station, who came out to help me when the nurses weren’t available, and Amy and Monica at night. Denny, one of the night techs, really helped me. He would answer my call light quickly and come in and help me with whatever I asked for, then add something else on his own, like putting my socks on my feet to help me be warm. There are so many truly caring people that work at Kindred. Thank you to all of you! more

They helped me 10/26/2020

I would recommend this hospital because they made me laugh when I was crying, they helped me manage my anxiety, and they came an told me happy birthday to try to make my day special. They put up with me when I wasn’t easy to put up with. Trisha and Robin were very nice. And I also want to thank the night shift nurses and CNA’s. I will miss everyone here. more

A great experience 10/23/2020

I would recommend this hospital because I have had a great experience here. No place is perfect. But this place comes close. The staff have been really good to me. I’ve been here a long time. Recovering from Covid has been really really hard. My lungs just struggle now. But the respiratory therapy staff and the therapy staff didn’t give up on me. Gradually, I got stronger and now I’m FINALLY able to go home! I’d like to thank everyone here at Kindred. more

Excellent wound care 10/23/2020

I would recommend this hospital for their excellent wound care. I want to thank all of the staff for helping me. The wound care nurses really did some amazing work to help my terrible wound heal. I want to also thank Donna, who brought me my mail and read it to me. And I want to thank Dana, she always had her way of cheering me up and coming in at the right time to help me out. I’m ready to go on to my next level of care. more

Warm feelings 10/23/2020

This place was wonderful and gave me fantastic care! All of the staff were so friendly and answered all my questions. They were so great to my wife, too. I was not there very long, a couple weeks maybe. And in that time, I felt like I was treated like family. They truly care about their patients there. On the day I left, as I was wheeled around the corner to the elevator, there were all the staff, clapping and congratulating me! The case manager, Nancy, had gone above and beyond to get my discharge papers signed by the doctor, even going across the street to the other hospital to bring the papers to him! She and the Patient Advocate wheeled me to my car and waved as I drove away. What a great way to end my stay and Kindred and send me home with warm feelings. more

A very good place to come. 9/29/2020

I believe this is a very good place to come. Everyone that was in contact with my husband was very nice and talked to him, from Housekeeping to front office. Everyone was so supportive. I was pleased with his care overall and how they worked with me once his time was up. I thank you very much for the caring spirit you showed me and my family. I would come back here, or recommend this place. Thank you to Trisha and Sherry especially for your caring. Thank you to Kindred for letting him stay as long as he did. Thank you to everyone. They believed in me. 9/29/2020

I would definitely recommend this hospital. In fact, I would pass out brochures! It’s been a rough go for me since I got Covid. But I got better here. Not ALL better, but better. It’s slow but sure. They believed in me. I’m not going to give up. I’ve come a long way. I probably have a long way yet to go to get back to how I was before Covid. Maybe I won’t get all the way back to that, but I’m going to try my hardest to get back to my life. Thank you everybody at Kindred for believing me! more

I want to thank the whole staff. They helped me out. I would recommend this hospital because it’s clean, they’re helpful, and there is good communication. When I had a concern they addressed it right away and it was resolved. I appreciate all their support. more

Great Care 9/24/2020

My brother has been given great care here at Kindred South. I appreciate the caring the staff have shown him. Dr. Ada has been good to answer questions and listen to my concerns. And Trisha has been so helpful. It will be hard for me to leave and go back home tomorrow but I know I am leaving my brother in good hands. more

Outstanding nursing staff! 9/23/2020

The nursing staff is outstanding. There are too many different ones to be able to remember certain names to thank. The Dietician and the Supervisor were very caring and informative. The girls that delivered meals was always friendly. The cleaning lady was friendly and a very hard worker. I actually came to love the Boost they gave me! Thank you to everyone at Kindred South for helping me in my road to recovery. more
