Great Wound Care 4/22/2020

When I first came here, I was terrified of wound care. In the previous hospital, dressing changes took over an hour and the excruciating pain was not adequately managed with medication. My first dressing change here I was a nervous wreck. The wound care nurse, Andrea, did the dressing change quickly and with very little pain. I was shocked and so relieved that I cried tears of joy. I would definitely recommend this hospital for the outstanding wound care. I have appreciation for the great care I have received from many of the staff. Jules has been such a great nurse. And Cee Cee, Dena, and Shirley have been great techs. The doctors have also been good: Dr. Ada, Dr.Quereshi, and Dr. Davidson. Thank you to all the others whose names I can’t remember who have taken good care of me. more

Great nursing staff 4/21/2020

I would like to thank the nursing staff that have helped me. They were great. I think Kindred has done a very good job of helping me move again. At first, I didn’t feel like moving, but eventually I DID move. If you lay one way for a length of time, you hurt. So you start moving. Then it goes from there, with the staff’s encouragement. The Respiratory Therapy department secretly helped me to reduce my oxygen need back down to my baseline. My time here has been good. The people here have made it good. I would definitely recommend this hospital. more

I was impressed 4/16/2020

The nurses had above average attitudes toward each other and the patient. We were all under pressure due to the virus attack in the country. I was impressed with all of them. Thank you. more

Good people 4/15/2020

I would recommend this hospital because there are some really good people that work here. I’d like to thank so many of them and I cant remember all of their names. I do remember Cee Cee, Rita, Irwin, Susie, and Trisha. Everyone here helped me come so far. I’m just now starting to realize how far. I came here on a ventilator, weak and sick. Now I’m off the ventilator, no trach, no feeding tube, I can eat and I can walk from my bed to the door with help. I’m ready to go to an acute rehab facility. This has changed my life. Thank you everyone. more

I’m amazed 4/14/2020

I would definitely recommend this hospital. I’d like to thank them all, all of the people who took such good care of me. The respiratory people were excellent. Robin was really good to me helping get a lot of things figured out. And Corey helped me with swallowing, so I could eat! They done an extremely good job. I just kept making headway the whole time I was at Kindred. I’m amazed. more

Exceptionally helpful 4/14/2020

I would definitely recommend Kindred South. I have had a great experience here, thanks to some special people. Trisha Miller, Patient Advocate, was exceptionally helpful and supportive. She’s a stellar asset for Kindred. Kindred Pharmacy staff were exceptionally helpful and willing to solve a medication problem created by the previous hospital where I was before coming to Kindred. All my nurses were excellent and kind. I would like to commend three in particular. I only know their first names, but they are Harley, Helene, and Michelle. They are the best of the best! All my nurse assistants were responsive and kind. I would like to commend two in particular. Dena and Dana were always quick to respond to any request and always friendly and very helpful. Thanks to everyone at Kindred, I am well and strong enough to go home! more

My breathing is so much better 4/13/2020

Being here at Kindred has helped my breathing get so much better. The respiratory team did a really good job. I also want to thank Trisha because she has been so nice. The dietician was good too. My meals were hot and tasted good. And last but not least, Germaine, at night, was my buddy. He helped me stand up a few times and he didn’t have to do that. more

Incredibly Professional 4/10/2020

The nursing teams, what can one say. They deal with the outside issues created from the virus and work at the same time.Incredibly professional! I just can’t fathom how they do it dealing with the stress yet still being so good to patients like me. I need to also thank Robin. She made it possible for me to go home. And finally, Trisha. She gave me the strength I didn’t have. Through her kindness, I found the strength to cry and the strength to face my inevitable death, things I have not been able to do until now. She gave me a couple of things to add to my to-do list that are incredibly important and I wouldn’t have thought of them myself. Thank you to everyone here at Kindred. more

Fantastic! 4/8/2020

This place has been fantastic! The nurses, doctors, everybody has done an excellent job taking care of me. No place is perfect, but this place is very clean and the people who work here are very nice. So, it’s pretty darn close to perfect! They’ve really helped me a lot. I want to thank Connie in Rehab for being so good to me. And Dana, the CNA, too. Really, I want to thank everybody! more

An all around good hospital 4/8/2020

I would recommend this hospital because of the care, the people, and it’s an all around good hospital. It’s always clean. The Respiratory Therapy Department is so great! They got me off the ventilator and almost off of oxygen. I was on oxygen at home. I was really sick when I first came to Kindred. They keep telling me I’ve come a long way. I know that’s right. I stood up yesterday for the first time in a very long time,.! I want to thank everybody, especially Dr Rudoi. He is a great doctor. He listened to me, and when I told him about a problem, he was on it right away. Everybody has kept me informed of what’s going on with my care and my progress. I really appreciate that because no knowing makes me worry. Thank you. more

They have really helped me 4/7/2020

I would recommend this hospital because they have really helped me with my breathing problems. It’s a small hospital but they do really good work with breathing problems. Also, I was very sick and now I’m feeling better and joking around again. Thank you to the Respiratory Therapy people. Thank you to everyone. more

Wound care is top notch 4/3/2020

I would recommend this hospitable because of the good help, good service, they know what they’re doing, and they are conscientious. And wound care is top notch, thank you Andrea. The nurse Irwin is great. And the nurse Michelle did everything she could do to make sure I had a good experience. Rehab helped me get stronger. I can go up and down stairs now. I’m ready to go home! more

Everything here was good. I didn’t have any problems. Everyone was great: the nurses and respiratory therapy, and rehab. And Trisha: she’s good people. I really appreciate everyone taking good care of me. Now I’m stronger and I’m going home. I would definitely recommend this place. This place has been great!!! more

This is a good hospital 3/31/2020

I want to thank the staff. Everyone has been good to me. I’m told I am popular! The nurses and doctors do a good job and explain things when I ask. Rehab treat me good too. They’ve helped me get stronger. And the Respiratory Therapy people, they’re good people. I was on a ventilator when I got here. I don’t remember much about that. I worked hard and the respiratory therapy people worked hard and now I’m completely off the ventilator and I’m going to get the trach out soon! It’s kind of a miracle! This is a good hospital. I would definitely recommend this place. more

I enjoyed my stay 3/26/2020

I enjoyed my stay here at Kindred South. I made some good connections here with the staff. Michelle the nurse has been such a sweetheart. The nurse Annabelle was so caring, she bought me a neck pillow because she thought that might help me sleep. And CeeCee has been great. Nick in OT has been so friendly and good to explain things to me. And Trisha. Besides that I like her clothes and shoes, she has been such a good support and is always able to make me smile. I’m ready to go on to rehab now. Thank you to everyone that took care of me. more

The care is really good 3/5/2020

I would recommend this hospital because the care is really good, the staff are very friendly, the environment is very comfortable as far as the people. I liked all the doctors. Dr. Rudoi is a very good doctor. He was informative about the progress of healing on my leg. I would like to thank the whole nursing staff because they have been so good to me. more

Good patient education 3/5/2020

The staff here explained things to me. Nick in Rehab explained everything clearly and took time to work on getting goals accomplished. Jules in nursing let me know what my medications were each time I received it, and what the medicine was for. I appreciate the good patient education. more

Great staff 3/5/2020

So many of the staff here have been really good to me. Andrea the wound care nurse helped me so much. Nick in rehab has been great, well, really, all the rehab staff. They got me up and walking on my own, independently. The nurses have been so kind and helpful. Everyone has been compassionate and encouraging, especially Trisha. more

Good food and great care 2/11/2020

I would recommend this hospital because of the quality of the attention and care I’ve received and the great food. I was nervous about coming here. The change and fear of the unknown made me pretty on edge for the first couple days. Then I realized that I was receiving great care from good people. AND the food is great! I especially want to recognize the great work of the nurses Michelle, Jules, and Irwin, and the CNA Lucus, and the Respiratory Therapy staff Erica, Brett, and Chris. I have no complaints. Trisha, the Patient Advocate, has been so kind and generous with her time. She has helped me feel more at ease when I got rattled. Really, I want to thank everybody at Kindred South! more
