True Heroes 2/4/2020

I want to thank the standout nursing staff members of Kindred long term hospital. The following are so far beyond superior, that there isn’t even a word for them...they are: Rontez, Dena (with the beautiful eyes), Carol, Donna, Germaine, Andre, Cee Cee, Michelle, Rontez (mentioned him twice...not enough space to rave over him). These people showed themselves as true heroes and the very definition of class. Love you all...and thank you for your incredible service. more

This place did wonders for me 2/4/2020

I would recommend Kindred South because this place did wonders for me. They really helped me and they were kind and good to me. Everyone, the nurses, doctors, and therapy staff, treated me with respect. My heart doctor was so friendly and came to see me every day. I want to thank everybody, especially Andre, Lucus, and Irwin. I’ve come a LONG way, thanks to everyone here. more

I came a long way 1/31/2020

I would recommend this hospital because I feel like I’ve had a lot of concern from a lot of people. Everyone has been so good to me, especially Michelle the nurse and Nick in OT. It has been the hardest six months of my life, but everybody made it bearable. Kindred helped me come a LONG WAY. They gave me a fresh chance for another chapter of my life. more

Amazing care! 1/30/2020

Everyone has been so friendly and nice. Kindred has done an amazing job helping me in my recovery. I thought I was dying. Then I came back. Kindred helped me so much in me going from almost dead to breathing only room air and walking! Katie has been a very special part of treatment. She is a Respiratory Therapist, and a very kind person. She helped me wean off oxygen. For the last part of that process, Katie stuck very close to me, reassured me, and encouraged me. It worked! She got me completely off oxygen! I am so grateful for everyone at Kindred. I am going home!! more

Kind treatment 1/29/2020

I would definitely recommend this hospital because of the kind way I was treated here. And the facility is nice. I want to thank Andrea, Tess, Maggie, Lucus, and Shirley. And Jennifer, one day Jennifer was my nurse. She came in on her day off to work as a nurse because one of the scheduled nurses was in a car accident and couldn’t come in. She was perfect. When she said she was going to do something and be back at a certain time, she did! I talked to her about a few of my concerns, not knowing what her usual role was. That night, my nurse said, “so you were taken care of today by the boss!” I thought maybe Jennifer was a nurse supervisor. But I later found out that she is the Chief Clinical Officer of the Hospital! She is the boss of all clinical staff in all departments! And she came in on her day off to help the nurses take care of patients. Wow. more

I would absolutely recommend this hospital because the care you get is like no other hospital. It’s like you’re the only one here, it’s so good. It seems like everyone here has a part to play and they do it well. Also, the food is always good and always hot. This is where I’d come if I needed Respiratory care again. I want to thank everybody - the whole team. more

Excellent 1/16/2020

Although I was here for a short stay, my overall impression of care was excellent. All of the nurses and staff were wonderful, helpful, and understanding. I had a tech named Dena (sunshine) who went above and beyond to make me comfortable. I would definitely recommend Kindred St Louis South. more

I like everybody here. They were all so nice to me. Dena did a real good job taking care of me. I would definitely recommend this hospital because if they took such good care of me, they would take good care of someone else. They helped me be able to go home. more

I would definitely recommend this place 1/9/2020

My overall experience here has been good. It’s WAY better than the hospital I was at before I came here! I feel everyone here knows what they’re doing. The doctors are good. I have gotten a lot better here. This morning I took some really good steps from my bed to the chair. I’m getting stronger. I really don’t want to leave here yet because what they’re doing is working. There are some good people here. I especially like the guy in Rehab, Nick. He has always been so friendly. I would definitely recommend this hospital. more

The best care possible 1/8/2020

There are many people here at Kindred who have done a wonderful job caring for my husband. Sherry, Katie, and Erica in the Respiratory Therapy department have been wonderful! Most all of the nurses have been great! Nancy, the Case Manager, has been very helpful. Most everyone working here has been very kind and considerate. I think my husband has received the best care possible and we thank you all! more

Amazing teamwork 1/8/2020

When I came to kindred, I was very sick. My kids toured Kindred and picked it because they had a good feeling it would be the best place for me to go for recovery. As it turned out, they were right. Kindred was exactly the right place for me. The amazing teamwork between the different disciplines brought me from being too sick to even communicate, to being weaned off the ventilator and decannulated, and eating on my own instead of having tube feeding. AND, the rehab program got me strong enough to go to a cute rehab! That’s pretty amazing. At first they thought I wouldn’t be able to do any of those things. But they encouraged me and hung in there with me. I especially want to thank Trisha who helped me so much with many things, including my grief of my husband who I lost recently. And I want to mention Rontezz, the CNA who was so kind, attentive, and professional. He is going to make an excellent nurse. There are so many others who made such a difference in my recovery. Thank you to them all. more

I just want to say a big thank you to everyone that took great care of me. I had a team of people all working together to help me get well enough to go home. I’m going to miss them. They cared for me for over a month. We got to know each other. This is a small hospital and it has a real feeling of family. I came a long way in the time I was here. So again, thank you to the great people at Kindred. more

Some great people 1/8/2020

Kindred did a great job of taking care of my wife. They have some great people working there. They know what they’re doing. Several people really were consistently helpful and supportive to her and me. She definitely got better under their care. The cardiologist, Dr Qureshi, figured out the solution to her heart and blood pressure issues that her previous hospital had not been able to treat effectively. The Patient Advocate, Trisha, was always there to help get questions answered and to lift her spirits. Things took a while to gel between her and the rehab staff, but they hung in there with her and she was able to develop a trusting relationship with Rho and Connie. I am grateful to everyone who cared for her. more

A good experience 12/31/2019

I would recommend this hospital because I’ve had a good experience here. No place is perfect but this place comes close! The staff were kind and treated me well. Nick, the Occupational Therapist, was patient and caring. He’s good at working with the elderly. Rontez,the CNA who is studying to be a nurse, was very thoughtful and professional. I appreciate everyone who has taken such good care of me! more

These girls who have taken care of me are so wonderful. I wish my son could marry someone as nice as these girls. I would recommend this hospital because of how organized they are. They work like a team and get things done. They’re on the spot when you need something done. They’re a bunch of fine young people. They contributed to me still being alive. It’s good to be alive! more

Focus on the patient 12/30/2019

I’ve had a great experience here at Kindred. It feels like here they really focus on the patient. Everyone is so nice and friendly. Some of the staff stop to say hi even though they don’t have to. The staff here listens to your frustrations and tries to help. They all have treated me with respect, and I really appreciate that. I would definitely recommend this hospital. more
