They kept me alive 9/8/2020

I would recommend this hospital because they kept me alive. The food is pretty good. The nursing staff are great and Respiratory Therapy is, too. Elaine, the RT, is wonderful. PT and OT are good, effective. I can’t recall all of the names of people that I would want to thank, but aside from the smiles, there was BeeBee. more

The Staff are Great! 9/4/2020

The staff are great! I’d like to thank them all. They’ve done a good job of taking care of me. I would recommend this hospital because they’ve treated me well. They’re always here to help when I need help. It’s a good location, too. It’s convenient for my wife to come visit me.. Thanks, Kindred! This is the second time you’ve taken great care of me! more

Very understanding 9/3/2020

Everyone was very nice and understanding with me. Michelle got me out of a “pity party” I was getting into. I really appreciated that. The nurses treated me with respect and listened to me. Doctors explained things to me in plain English. When I first got here, I was in pretty bad shape. It took awhile for me to wake up and for the confusion to clear up. I could barely move at first. I had a wound that was extreme, but the Wound Care nurse and doctor did amazing things to get it to heal. Gradually, I started being able to move. The Rehab program was very good; I made gradual progress and eventually they had me up and walking and took me to the gym where I did the stairs. Thanks to everyone at Kindred, I am ready to go home. more

I want to thank everybody who worked with me. They’re all super nice. I would recommend this hospital because of the friendliness of everyone. I appreciated that the CEO and the other administrators came to see me. Everyone has been very good to me. more

They helped me out 9/3/2020

I would recommend this hospital because they do a good job and they come when they’re supposed to come. I would like to thank the nurses. I especially appreciate the night nurses because they helped me out when I was having pain and I didn’t have anybody to talk to. They said to me, “You’re going to be ok”. This is a good hospital. more

This place is it 8/31/2020

This hospital is full of so many good people. If a person needs some place to go for long term acute care, this is the place to go. My mom and aunt have been patients here before. When I called them to tell them I was transferring to Kindred, they both said, “Good! Then you’ll get very good care.” I want to thank everyone here. I did have a few favorites. Dena, Pat, BeeBee, and Rhonda in nursing. In Rehab, Matt was so helpful. He was understanding and able to help me help myself. Last but not least, I want to thank Dr.Rudoi. He listened to me. In fact, one day when he came to see me, I was very anxious leaving. I was crying and was having tightness in my chest. He listened to me, listened to my heart, reassured me, and stayed until he had talked me down. He had me put on telemetry just to reassure me. He was a good doctor for my whole stay at Kindred. I wish he could be my doctor after I leave here. I would definitely recommend this hospital. more

Compassion Care 8/24/2020

I would recommend Kindred Hospital St. Louis South because the nursing staff are compassionate. It is a clean hospital. And the rehab has been helpful to me. So much so, that they got me strong enough to go home! I would like to thank Katrina, Helene, Dana, Dena, Amanda, Pam, Kayla, CeeCee, Nick and Connie. There are so many good staff here. Good people 8/19/2020

I have definitely met some good people here, there’s no doubt about it. They helped me make a LOT of progress. I was able to wean off the vent! The Respiratory Therapy staff are the best. I would absolutely recommend this hospital to anyone who needs excellent respiratory care. The nurses and doctors treated me well and my room was cleaned every day. I especially want to thank all of the techs. They work hard and do a very good job. Thanks, Kindred! more

We Appreciate You! 8/17/2020

You guys have been taking such excellent care of my mom. I can tell you care. I feel so bad that I can’t come visit her more than once a week, due to work and not having childcare. So I call to check on her twice a day, and the nurses are always willing to give me an update and answer my questions. She is trying her best for you and was able to walk today for the first time! You all have been so amazing. We appreciate you! Thank you, Kindred! more

Caring from the top down 8/11/2020

The nurses and techs were nice and arming. They would listen to you and meet your needs. All the nurses were very pleasant to talk to and helped you out. I must say, that the nurses and staff run the hospital, but it is the techs that help in caring and meeting your overall needs. The techs help you feel more comfortable and relaxed in the way they help you. I think the mentality of most of the nurses and techs here is that since they can go home and the patients can’t, they want the patients to know that they are here to care for them. This attitude starts at the top and trickles down to everyone. I’d like to thank Helene, she has been a ray of sunshine. Dee was a blessing to me, I thank her. I really liked the tech Lucas, he is good and wants to help the patients. But Dena stands out the most to me. She brings joy to the floor and I had a good time laughing when she was my tech. And last but not least, Trisha really helped me when my mother passed while I was here. more

Good care again 7/16/2020

I have been here before for wound care and this time, I have received good care again. Andrea the Wound Care Nurse is great! The nurses and doctors treated me well and explained things when I needed them to. My room was kept clean and the housekeeping staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone who needs excellent wound care. more

I would recommend Kindred St. Louis South because if they see you doing something you shouldn’t, they don’t scold you like a child. They just give you a look and encourage you to do what they think will keep you safe. The staff here are very nice. I want to thank everyone who took such good care of me. more

Friendly staff, excellent care 7/2/2020

I would recommend this hospital because it is overall very good: the food, the cleanliness, and the friendly staff. When you put your call light on, you don’t have to wait long for someone to come help you. I would like to thank my nurse Lisa; she is a very good nurse. And also, my CNA last night, Monica L.,was so kind; she knew I was in a lot of pain. She gave me a bath which eased my pain and helped me sleep. All of the nursing staff have been so nice and given me excellent care. Even the cleaning lady was friendly and spoke to me by name! I would definitely recommend Kindred Hospital St. Louis South. more

Really nice staff 6/30/2020

Kindred has some really nice staff. I can’t say enough about the nurses. All the departments work together and they are all friendly and professional. When I had a question, they made sure I got a full answer from someone who would really know. The Patient Advocate was especially good at that. Everyone’s friendly approach helped me stay motivated. more

Here at Kindred, the staff are friendly. People said hi to me when they came in my room or passed by in the hall. And they all encouraged me. I REALLY appreciate the Respiratory Therapy Department for helping me get off the vent. more

Care and Concern 6/30/2020

I would recommend Kindred St. Louis South because of their genuine care and concern for people who really need it. And they provide great LTAC Rehab preparing a person for acute rehab. There are so many people who really made such a difference in my stay here. Phyllis made me comfortable from the beginning. She took such good care of me and took the time to wash my hair with real shampoo. The nurses Amy, Katie, Carol provided me with excellent care, they were quick to respond to my call light, friendly, and knowledgeable in nursing. The CNAs Deb, Rontez, Jermaine and Taliyah were also quick to respond to call lights, caring, and attentive. Nick, Connie, and Rho in Rehab were an amazing team. They made me feel motivated to do my best. Trisha, the Patient Advocate, and Michelle, the Dietitian, made me feel special every time they came in my room. Michelle even took the time to feed me. I would definitely recommend this hospital! more
