Great gowns, great prices knowledgeable staff 9/20/2008

I shopped at many bridal salons when I was looking for that perfect dress. I had the best experience at I do Bridal in Wallingford. The customer service was great, it is a fun, friendly, low pressure environment. The person that helped me listened to me describe the perfect dress and also pulled other opptions she thought would look good on me. We had alot of fun trying on, and I felt very comfortable. At my first visit we narrowed it down to 3 choices and at my second visit I choose the dress. The whole experience was very stress free and every time I came to the sore they knew me by name, that special touch made me feel very important to them. I also ordered my bridesmaids gowns their as well and we had the same wonderful experience. All the dresses came in a couple weeks early and the service from the entire staff was great form start to finish. Pros: Great staff, Great prices,Comfortable environment more

Limited knowledge about each gown 9/17/2008

I found a beautiful dress but was strongly encouraged to order a size I knew would be too big. Since I considered them to be the experts, I ordered their recommended dress size and had to have it altered down 3 sizes; it never fit as well as it would have had I ordered the correct size. I paid to have extra length added because the floor model that I tried on was a tiny bit too short and I was not advised by I Do Bridal otherwise. I ended up having the extra length removed by my seamstress plus an additional amount because the store model was not an accurate representative of the true length. I used a seamstress recommended by I Do Bridal, only to find out through a different source that she formerly worked for them. I ended up spending the same amount in additions to the dress and subsequent alteration charges to remove some of the same, as the price of the dress itself, only to end up with a dress I loved but could never be made to fit quite right. Overall, the customer service at I Do Bridal was fine- until I made my purchase and had to make choices about the length and size. I was told the dresses ""tend"" to run small, which was not the actual case with my dress. My experience at I Do Bridal would have been much different if I had been informed more accurately about my dress instead of given generalized statements about all of their dresses. I have heard of similar experiences at other wedding gown boutiques, so in that sense I Do Bridal is probably ""average"" more

Bridal Gown shopping made easy! 8/22/2008

I am so not a girlie kind of girl so, I was a little worried about shopping for my dress for my July wedding. My friends booked appointments for me at a few shops and I Do Bridal was the cream of the crop. We got there really early (my other appointment before that at the Kmart of Bridal didn't go so well!) They were really accommodating and got us started right away. Jennifer helped me and she was extremely knowledgeable and professional. She also helped me narrow down exactly what I was looking for and I found the perfect, simple dress for $684. Over $300 under my budget! Pros: Service, Atmosphere, Price Cons: NOTHING! more

Good customer service but a few annoyances 8/7/2008

This shop has some nice dresses but I felt rushed here because we could only make a 1 hour appointment. At the end of 1 hour, there were still some dresses hanging in the room that I wanted to try on, but I was told that I needed to make another appointment and come back to try on the others. I had asked to make a 2 hour appointment, but this was not a possibility, so I could understand that other people were booked after me. It was just frustrating because my mom and sister had come from out-of-town to go dress-shopping with me, so it was inconvenient for us to come back another time. The salespeople were definitely very good about getting me in and out of the dresses quickly, but I felt that 1 hour was not enough time to find that perfect dress. I did find a dress that I kind of liked at this store, but ended up finding it cheaper at a bridal shop in Lakewood. Also this is one of those dress shops that does not allow you to take pictures of the dresses so if you want to know how it looks in photographs, that might be an issue. Pros: friendly salespeople, good quality gowns Cons: can't take photos, 1 hour time limit more

Best Place for Gowns Hands Down! 3/31/2008

I scouted around a fair bit in looking for the ""perfect"" dress and have to say both in terms of selection, knowledge of the designers, and what looks best on different body shapes - IDo is the best! Their staff are very helpful, professional, and made me feel really comfortable. I've already sent a few of my friends there for their gowns. Can't miss if you are a new bride starting out looking for dresses!! Pros: Service, variation in sizes available to try on, pricing Cons: None - they rock! more

above and beyond customer service! 3/7/2008

Only 1 of my bridesmaids lived in the same state and could thus go w/me to look at bridesmaid dresses. My bridesmaid totally forgot about our appointment and I didn't know what to do since I was too large to fit into their size 4 samples. I didn't know what to do and was trying not to totally freak out (I couldn't even get a hold of my bridesmaid and it was hard for me to get to their store during business hours). Then Morgan and Jen Kwon asked me if I wanted them to try on the dresses. I felt kind of dumb, but told them I would really appreciate it. Morgan helped Jen try on 4 different dresses for me. I ended up picking out one of the ones she tried on. Then my local bridesmaid didn't realize she needed to order her dress b/c she thought i was doing it. So by that time I had to rush the dress for her and I Do Bridal let me fax in an order form (they required a signature). They really helped me out both times when I was really stressed. They were so nice, understanding and helpful! Pros: really helpful and understand customer service more

HORRIBLE customer service! 9/4/2007

My friend purchased her wedding dress here. I went with her to help out, they made me feel like I was in their way & they barely helped her pick out a dress, I did that while they pretended I was a nuisance. They have a good selection of dresses, however horribly disorganized they are. Prepare to take your time looking through their dresses, they have no order to them & the staff is not willing to help you. Their appts are only made for an hour & they only give you 1 dressing room, regardless of how many bridesmaids you have. Our other friend & myself went there to pick out our bridesmaids dresses, (we were supposed to get a discount but never did), & again there was no help. The staff tried to convince me I should buy the wrong size, (glad I didn't, the size I picked fits perfectly). They also promised me the sash on my actual dress would be removable, it's not. The dress I paid almost $200 for came with the sash sewn in & I have to pay extra for alterations. I was also shocked that they didn't even take the 2 seconds to steam the dresses for us, not even my friend's wedding dress. I would say only go to this place if you have patience enough to deal with bad, bitchy, misguided service. more

Best Bridal Shopping Day ! 8/14/2007

I Do Bridal was the fifth bridal store I visited and it turned out I saved the best for last ! I found the ""dress"" there and could not have been happier with my experience. I worked with one of the owners, Robin, who is a doll and made me feel I was the only one in the store. My gown just came in two weeks ago as promised and it was beautiful. I told them I was going to post what a great experience I had and it was wonderful !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: Gorgeous gowns, nice people to work with Cons: can't think of any. more

Worked for me! 8/10/2007

My mom planned to make my wedding dress for me. A month before the wedding I tried it on and was very unhappy. After diplomatically (!) explaining it to mom I decided to go around and see if anyone had a gown that would work for me. I'm a plus size, so I wasn't very optimistic, but I Do Bridal saved the day! They actually had 5 or 6 dresses in my size and I fell in love with one of them . The woman who helped me was very knowledgeable and professional. She was even able to recommend an alterations person for me to go with since my mom was afraid to touch the dress after the fiasco with my original gown! I thought I was in a hopeless situation and the staff there really calmed my fears. I walked in almost crying and left with a big smile! Pros: Professional staff, good selection Cons: Small space more

Horrible Customer Service!! 8/8/2007

I purchased my wedding dress at I Do Bridal and they do have an excellent selection of dresses. However, the customer service was horrible. The sales assistant acted like she was not interested at all and they we're not at all helpful in listening to what I was trying to find and suggesting dresses as a result. In fact, when I found the dress that I enentually bought, they told me that they did not have a sample of the dress in the color that I wanted --- until my sister actually went and looked! Surprise, surprise there was one right on the shelf that I could try on. more

Bridal gem! 7/29/2007

My experience at I Do Bridal was really nice. I am new to this area since I grew up in Japan. My mother in law took me to this store to find a dress for my wedding this May. We had a wonderful time there and Bridget who helped me was very sweet and knowledgeable. In fact everyone that I talked to there seemed very friendly. Pros: Service, Quality, Price more

Horrible Customer Service 7/24/2007

I have to agree with ""cinderella_citygirl"" and ""ameliachiu"". I discourage ALL brides and bridesmaids from purchasing from I Do Bridal. I agree that they have an excellent selection of dresses and have excellent customer service- AT FIRST. However, the wonderful customer service ends after the dress/dresses are purchased. Two of my bridesmaid dresses were ordered in the wrong color and they did not take responsibility for the error, forcing us to keep the wrong dresses and order 2 more in the correct color. In addition to that they were very rude and were not sypathetic at all to our situation. Planning a wedding can be stressful enough without these kind of issues. I would not suggest purchasing anything from them. Pros: Great selection of dresses. Cons: Horrible customer service. more

First Class From Start to Finish 7/23/2007

I had the most wonderful experience shopping for my gown and bridesmaids dresses at I Do Bridal. From the very first visit, they were more helpful, creative and friendlier than any other bridal stores I?ve been to. Bridget made me feel so at ease at the daunting tasks of choosing a gown and gave a lot of good suggestions. She?s a hoot too! I remembered walking out of the store and telling my sister what a great time I had. Although I finally found the gown for me at another store, but because I was so impressed by the attention given to me at I Do Bridal, I went back to Bridget and asked if she would be able to order the gown for me. She did at a much lower cost!! The bridal gown, bridesmaids? dresses and veil all arrived a few weeks earlier than scheduled. I just could not be happier with the entire buying process, and would recommend any bride-to-be to check this gem out. Thanks so much Bam! You made things so easy & fun! Pros: Fun atmosphere, Unpretentious, Great customer service, Helpful staffs, Good value more

Best little bridal shop! 6/3/2007

My girlfriend brought us here to see her wedding gown that she recently purchased and try on bridesmaid dresses. I was so surprised with the fun and happy atmostphere inside this little store. When she arrived they knew her by name and had the dress already in a room including the shoes and bra she had tried on before. The gal who helped us was so nice and she had picked out some dresses for us to try on with it based on what Kim was looking for. I wish that I remembered her name because she was terriffic! She was really helpful with the two of us that were plus sized and found sample dresses that would fit us and kept it really fun. The prices were really reasonable and ordering only took a few minutes so we were all really pleased. At lunch we just talked the whole time about how much fun we had there and I am looking forward to sending more friends (and hopefully myself someday) to this shop. I have been a bridesmaid several times before and had very different and humiliating experiences and wanted to tell people about what a great experience we had. Pros: Great variety of dress sizes, Fun atmosphere, Clean and organized more

Favorite bridal salon 5/31/2007

I had such a wonderful experience at this local boutique. My mom and I went on a full day of bridal dress shopping and had almost decided on one when we came here. Sara who helped me was so sweet and made some great suggestions of dresses that I would have never tried on. She took her time and listened and pulled out one with the most beautiful lace trim and cap sleeves. The minute I put it on I knew that this was the perfect dress. My mom and I were both very happy with the straight forward and honest approach of the staff here during the ordering process. I wouldn't say that it is a frilly place or for those who want really high end designer gowns. My dress was only $750 but, it looks much more expensive! I used the local seamstess that they recommeded in Ballard named Debra and she was great too. We had heard great things about this store and I am so glad that I didn't settle on my dress. I just couldn't be happier! Pros: Great selection, outstanding staff, Reasonable prices more

Can't imagine going anywhere else..... 4/17/2007

I can't say enough how much I loved my shopping experience at I Do Bridal. I had the best time with Robin, Bridget, Darcy and all the girls. I had no idea what type of dress I wanted when I went in and they somehow managed to find the most perfect dress for me. They were always happy to help, offer an opinion, and laugh with me. I am sad that the wedding is over now and I won't have an excuse to stop in and say hi. This staff and products at I Do Bridal are top notch and I can't imagine buying my gown anywhere else. Hands down this was best customer service experience I have ever had. I purchased everything at this store; gown, tiara, shoes, earrings. It was so great to go to 1 store and they had everything I needed. I loved my shopping experience and will continue to recommend I Do Bridal to everyone I know. Love you guys! Tiffany Andrews Pros: Staff and selection of items more

blissful bride! 2/12/2007

I absolutey LOVE I Do Bridal. I walked in for my appointment and the girl helping me asked me what style of dress I liked. After I told her, she immediately handed me 3 or 4 dresses to try. This showed me that they knew their merchandise well and it saved me a ton of time going through hanger after hanger trying to find the dress i wanted. They were extremely helpful when it came to finding my bridesmaid dresses, and if you are a bride, you know what a nightmare that can be! They recommended dresses without being pushy and they even called my bridesmaids from out of town to talk to them about ordering their dress. Pros: Knew merchandise like the back of their hand! Cons: No longer carry Pronovias dresses more

Best wedding purchase I made! 1/23/2007

I just picked up my gown from I Do in Wallingford and wanted to express my excitement about this fun store. Most of my wedding planning has been overwhelming and I had not had the best experiences at some of the local salons. My experience here was totally different. Bridget took the time to really listen to what I was looking for and find the perfect dress. I went back several times to look and see if there were any others that I liked. Each time I came back to the same one and finally took my mom to see it. When I ordered they gave me a really nice bag with goodies and sparkling cider to celebrate! Pros: Fun, Great service, Pretty Dresses more

Poor customer service and not accomidating to walk-in customers 1/12/2007

Salon was not accomidating to walk-in customers and customer service was poor. Dresses were jammed together tightly on racks making it difficult to browse. Also, gowns were sorted by designer which made it difficult for me because I don't know designers. more
