I Do Bridal

I had a great experience at I DO Bridal in walingford. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding a couple weeks ago. After we ordered our dresses I found out I was pregnant. I went into instant panic wondering how I would fit into the dress. I called the store but as you all probably know once you order you can not cahnge the size. When the gown came in I was 3 months pregnant, I went in right away to pick it up and they recomended a seamstress that comes in there store on Thursdays. I contacted her right away. She suggested we wait until closer to the wedding as I would be getting bigger,we talked about opptions and she really put my mind at ease. 3 weeks before the wedding I met with her at the store, we lifted the hem through the waist to make it fuller throgh the tummy and let it out a little. when I came back to pick it up it not only fit perfect but It looked and felt great. All the staff was so encouraging they made me feel beautiful. The bride also got her gown at I do Bridal and had the same warm wonderful experience and we got 10% of our bridesmaids gowns. We recommend them to all our friends I can not say enough possitive things about them from ordering through alterations they are an A++++. Oh by the way we're having a girl!!! This store rocks! I was so happy to find this little local gem right down the street from my new condo. The girls that work there were really nice and very patient with me on all of my trips in. I got married in September and didn't start looking for a dress until June which was late I guess by bridal standards. I didn't have very good luck at some of the other stores in the area and was irritated with my experiences when my girlfriend who bought here made an appointment to take me here to try on. I am so glad that she did! It was the first dress that I tried on there and the girl that helped me pulled it off the floor after listening to what I was looking for. I still tried on a few more but, I did get that ""It's the one"" feeling immediately. I just can't say enough about how fun and helpful they were and hope that every local bride takes the time to see how different this store is! My husband cried when he saw me for the first time and really loved my dress. For the alterations they have a whole list of people that they recommend so, you can use anyone that you want to. I had a very good experience with the alterations person that they had on the top of the list and found her professional and easy to work with. I just called her to make an appoitment for a bridesmaid dress I need altered as well. Our entire bridal party thought this place was wonderful when we ordered our dress. They were helpful and patient. We even called the manager to let her know that her staff was amazing. But the nightmare begain AFTER we paid for the deposit of the dress. They pushed for rush order (extra cost per dress) even though the wedding was more then 3 months away, which we agreed to so we dont have to 'stress' about when it arrives. We started calling them 3 weeks prior to the wedding wondering the when the dress will be in. They said it wasnt. One bridesmaid even showed up at the store to see if it was in before she left for a 2 week out of the country trip but they said it wasnt in. BUT when the 2nd bridesmaid showed up on the same day 2 hours later, they found all of the dress. (it turned out the dress has been in the store for over a week). So much for RUSH ORDER. And the sizing was HORRIBLE!!!. Some were 2 sizes too big that cost over 100 to taylor it to the right size and some were too short!!! BUT it was too late to reorder! AND DONT GO with the tailor at their store! She was horrible! She tailored one dress from 2 sizes to big to a size that the bridesmaid couldnt breath in. Then her comment was 'well, you dont want to to fall down do you? "" I dont know how bridal shops are able to treat wedding parties so horrible after they got their money :( Its a wonderful special occasion for the bride and it shouldnt be such a bad experience... I just wanted to share what a wonderful experience I had shopping at I Do Bridal. The staff was really helpful and took their time finding me the perfect dress. It was the best dress trying experience I had anywhere. The dress selection was really good. Prices were reasonable and I felt totally relaxed and comfortable here. My mom booked apppointments for me to try on dresses while I was home this week and we ran around everywhere to find the perfect gown for my wedding in October. I was so impressed with I Do Bridal and when we went back to order my dress from them I knew it was the right decision. They are really nice and laid back and were the only store that gave me honest opinions about the dresses that I tried on there. My mom was even thrilled when they offered to heat up her coffee for her when we left. I feel really happy that we found this store and wanted to let other brides know there is a fun and helpful place for those of us who are lost in bridal land! I bought my dress from I Do, which I love and am excited for (hasn't come in yet). When I shopped for my dress they said that they would mail me a $100 gift certificate if I paid for my dress in full. I decided to go for it, because I could get my veil or accessories for free. When I received it, it was $100 towards a purchase of $100 or more. Ummm, that's a coupon, not a gift certificate and very misleading. Also, the coupon expires before my dress is due to arrive, so I'll have to try on the veil/accessories with the store sample, which is 4 sizes too big for me. My friends and I had an appointment today at I Do Bridal to pick out bridesmaid dresses. I have already bought my gown here and so the bridesmaids got a discount. We had a really hard time trying to find the perfect dress for all the different sizes of my 5 bridesmaids but, the consultant suggested doing the same color that I liked from After Six and let them pick out their own dresses. We had a really good time and they are all so excited to get their own dresses. I think it will work great and I think we would have been there all day trying to find one that we could all agree on! To say my experiance with this salon was ""poor"" is an understatment. The ""Bridal Consultants"" are unprofessionally dressed, they have zero interest in you as a customer and have no product knowledge. My ""consultant"" was so poor that at one point during my 1 hour appoinment she looked at her watch and complained that there was only 10 minutes left, so basically she was not going to help us anymore. Not that she helped us at all. The layout of the store is poor with no organization to the dress layout, and no one to help you sift through all the dresses. My friends and I spent all weekend running to appointments at local bridal salons and I was thrilled with the atmosphere, staff and especially the selection of gowns here! The consultant that helped me (Katie) was wonderful and found me the perfect gown. I wouldn't have picked it off the rack but, she was right on! I was afraid of the price but, it was under $1,000 which worked with the budget and my bridesmaid all got a discount on their dresses since I bought my gown so, I would suggest the Bill Levkoff line since we had so many figures to accomodate and you can pick different styles in the same color that work together. After doing business with this store I can honsetly say that I have never been treated as poorly as I was here, after I had already made many purchases. I ordered my gown at I Do Bridal a few months ago and was really pleased with my experience there. I had a horrible time at some of the other snotty stores and was really feeling upset about the whole bridal shopping experience. I had such a great time and had a really hard time deciding between two beautiful gowns there. My gown came in this week and I just went to try it on and it was perfect! The staff is so wonderful and everytime that I call or my bridesmaids and I stop in they have been very nice. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a dress. I recently visited I Do Bridal in Wallingford and was totally blown away with their friendly service and amazing selections of wedding dresses. I had several friends and co-workers recommend them and I went for an appointment to see if they had anything that might work for my informal wedding. My consultant Katie was so nice and found several dresses that I love! The prices were really good and I saw all the bridesmaid dresses I liked online there too. I also heard them tell another bride who was getting married soon and didn't have time to order that they were having a big sale the 5th of June. I do Bridal is a true success story. What started as a college hobby of making veils for friends has flourished into the premier wedding salon in Seattle. Robin and her staff treat every customer with patience and respect and excellent customer service. I bought everything for my wedding from I do Bridal and would not think of going anywhere else. The selection is amazing and the caring of the staff shows in everything they do. I would and recommend everyone I know to visit I do Bridal because I know that they will be treated fairly and with the highest standards possible. They even had the patience to deal with my 10 bridesmaids and took such amazing measurements that no one needed alterations. They are the greatest!! I got married in May of 2002 and I has a wonderful experience working with the staff and selection of I Do Bridal. I purcahed my wedding dress and all of my accessories there and they were perfect. I was never presssured and I felt that the staff really cared about making me feel and look great for my special day! I also had my alterations done on site and the dress fit to perfection. I have come into I Do Bridal several times just to browse and try on wedding dresses when my friends have gotten married. One time I even brought in my 6 year old sister and Robin let her try on Flower Girl dresses to feel like a princess. I really enjoy this store and when I get married (fingers crossed!) I will DEFINATELY go here for a wedding dress. They don't mind an old maid and her little sister acting like princesses and trying on dresses for a day!! I got married in August 2000 and ordered all of my wedding party attire, accessories, and my gown from I Do Bridal. I received nothing but beyond excellent service from everyone who I worked with. I ordered my bridesmaid dresses and when they came in, they were a horrendous color. The staff called me in advance to warn me and then proceeded to assist me in finding another dress in the same price range. I have referred many of my recently engaged friends to I Do Bridal, where they have had similar outstanding experiences. I would refer anyone to I Do Bridal. After months of searching for a dresses that would fit all of our girls, Robin and her staff were refreshingly creative. Their shop also carried numerous styles/colors-- they were the ONLY ones that had our chocolate brown! I also bought my veil and other accessories from Robin. She and her staff remembered my name each time I came in, and I always felt comfortable to try new ideas. Her staff is very helpful. Go visit them. I can't believe that anyone would have anything bad to say about this shop!!! The sales staff are great, with cheery dispositions and no pressure sales. It is the only bridal shop that I've found where you don't have to make an appointment to even browse, let alone try on dresses. The dresses are from designer labels, but are there are also cost concious options. My dress was discontinued and Robin called the company and got me the last one in my size, color and style in the nation!!! The dress arrived in three weeks and was given to me fully pressed and in perfect condition. Since my wedding many other friends have purchased wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses and wedding accessories with no problem (and often a hefty discount). I had such a great time shopping at I Do Bridal! The staff was extremely helpful and spent a lot of time with me every time I came in. I was dreading finding a wedding dress---until I shopped here. The staff is super friendly, patient and accommodating---not an ounce of snootiness. I was able to try on plenty of simple styles that didn't cost a fortune. I found and purchased my dream dress here (after checking lots of other stores too) and it was a great experience.
