A Chicago landmark and must try if you haven't. Great Italian dishes and deep dish pizza.

Worst

This location was so slow I would have left had it not been raining. It took 90 min. to get one pie. At that, it was lukewarm at best and very average...

The original Chicago Pizza 8/13/2002

I was recently on a trip to Chicago for business, and had heard about Giordano's Pizza. They came highly recommeded, so I gave it a try. I have to say, honestly, that was the BEST pizza I've ever had anywhere. In Chicago or otherwise. We had the traditional stuffed pizza, and then came back the next night and had it again! more

any people eat at Giordanos for there deep dish, but I like the thin crust. It is the best thin crust you will ever eat, the crust is flaky, it has texture, and it has a great taste. Giordano's is about consistancy; you can order from any of the locations across the country and still have a magnificent piece of pizza pie. I cant complain at all...whenever I eat at Giordano's. If you like sauce, and I do, then you should try the stuffed pizza. Very good crust and high quality ingredients make for a good pie. Although, oh no, here it comes, they didn't put enough ""stuff"" in the stuffed pizza. I ordered sausage, pepperoni, and onion. They really skimped on the toppings. This pizza has a lot of sauce, cheese, and crust so it needs a lot of other ingredients to balance it out. I paid a premium price, expect premium pizza. Its all in the stuffing! 8/8/2002

Giordano's has a stuffed pizza to die for. I've been eating there since high school. When I moved to FLorida, I was bummed because they didn't have any good pizza places. But, behold, I found out that there was a Giordano's near by. Don't think I didn't drive there at least once a week to eat myself into oblivion. Stuffed pepperoni pizza was my ideal meal. When they put it on your plate, your mouth begins to water. The cheese is oozing out the side with pepperoni hanging on to it and a rich, tomato sauce on top. I am getting hungry just writing this. I think I'll order pizza today! more

Giordano's - Best Stuffed Pizza On Earth 8/1/2002

It's hard to describe just how good Giordano's is, but I'll try. Their crust is soft and tender on the inside while crusty and flaky on the outside, which I like, nice and hearty. The pizza is PACKED with cheese (i.e. there is lots of it), which is just the perfect type of mozzarella that is not too pungent nor soft and gooey and the sauce is a perfect compliment, just spicy enough but not overbearing. The highlight for me is the excellent consistency and flavor of the cheese. I might sound a little obsessive, but in Chicago there are a lot of places that serve great pizza, so one can get pretty good at differentiating nuances. I suggest a visit to Giordano's for anyone who likes food and has a Chicago size appetite. I promise that you have never had a pizza this good. Bon Appetit! Rare 7/30/2002

You can't leave hungry. The absolute best double crust pizza made anywhere. No skimping here. Worth the wait because double crusts take longer to bake. You are never rushed. Once any of my discovered Girodanos, the line just get longer. All locations have consistently great pizza. Pros: Great variety, Family atmosphere, Consistent quality Cons: Need more parking more

Giordano's is the second best pizza I've ever had. If there is anyone out there that has ever had pizza from a place in DeKalb called IVA, then you know what I mean. They were the originators (as far as I know) of the True stuffed crust! Only, they stuffed the entire pizza crust above and below with fresh mozzerella!! OHMYGOSH it was good. When they went out of business, I cried real tears. : ( If anyone has any info on this place, PLEASE contact me!!! But---- Giordano's gets my vote now. I fly 2000 miles for it 7/22/2002

I've eaten pizza all over the USA, and Giordano's Sutffed pizza is still #1. All pizzarias in the top 10 are incredible, but GIORDANOS ekes out the victory. Tough lineup. Be very happy if you live in Chicago, Phoenix pizza is blah...... more
