Best

A Chicago landmark and must try if you haven't. Great Italian dishes and deep dish pizza.

Worst

This location was so slow I would have left had it not been raining. It took 90 min. to get one pie. At that, it was lukewarm at best and very average...

THE Best, but not the trendiest 11/27/2002

Classic deep dish. I've been to several stores and they are all consistently great. The stores aren't great but the food is. Makes me want to get back to Chicago more often than I can afford. more

Simply the Best 11/27/2002

I have been getting Giordanos for almost 20 years and the quality is the same. GREAT!!! more

worth traveling for!! 11/27/2002

The best pizza around. Every trip back to Chicago, it's my first stop and, if I can, I order some to bring home frozen!! more

yummy to the tummy 11/27/2002

the fab stuffed pizza is always the best around town more

I drive 8 Hours for Giordano's 11/27/2002

I was introduced to Giordano's Pizza about 10 years ago while in Chicago on business. Now, whenever I have the chance, I always stop on my way through town and have pizza. I also have the 1/2 baked shipped to me when I get a real craving! more

Well worth the wait 11/27/2002

My family and I had to wait about 45 min for a table, but the pizza was fabulous and well worth the wait. I would recommend the thick crust over the thin. Expect to pay about $45.00 for a family of four. Pros: Family atmosphere, Downtown Location Cons: Slow seating more

Pizza Perfected 11/27/2002

Once you have had Giordano's there Will be no other Pizza that can satisfy. Pros: Great Taste Cons: Takes a while to cook more

Rotten Pizza and Soda 11/27/2002

Terrible. Pizza was ordered for party of 20 at the Oak Park, IL restuarant for dine in, and it was cold and the cheese was hardening. Also, the pitchers of soda were flat, and when we asked for fresh soda, they said their machine cycles down the carbonation so it was all they could give us. more

cheese you can chew! 11/25/2002

I remember almost choking to death trying to eat my first pizza here. I was a freshman at St Ignatius and we all went after school. I learned to use a fork and Knife on the pizza here. I almost choked because I couldn't get enough. Their thin crust can compare to some of the other chicago styles but they give gino's east a run for the money when it comes to the deep dish....nobody does it better.....when i give an eating tour to my visiting friends....we get fat here too! Pros: outstanding deep dish Cons: feels like chainstore more

Pizza at it's finest 11/25/2002

This is by far the best pizza. When friends come to town and want good food, this is always first on the list to recommend. Pros: outstanding food, inexpensive more

Best Pizza in the Nation! 11/11/2002

I live in atlanta and I have to fly to Orlando because this is the closest place to get this pizza! Get the traditional Deep dish!! You can't go wrong but you can over-eat! Hands down, I'd fly to chicago from Atlanta once a month to eat this pizza. Pros: Best, Pizza, Anywhere more

Awsome 11/9/2002

Outstanding Pizza, best order in advance to avoid the waiting time. It's so fresh you have to wait until they make it for you, but well worth the wait!! Pros: value, freshness, quantity Cons: crowded, long wait, no parking more

Sad excuse for pizza 11/9/2002

I can't think oof a time when I have had worse pizza. The only thing worse at Giordano's than the pizza is the service. Me and a friend were told to seat ourselves, and then sat for 15 minutes before being helped. I would have understood if they were busy at the time. more

Awesome Pie! 11/8/2002

This is one of the best stuffed pizzas I have had. I am an avid pizza eater. I especially love the stuffed cheese with fresh garlic and fresh tomatos! Pros: Good food, inexpensive Cons: long wait more

Yummy in My Tummy 11/6/2002

I absolutly love Giordano's. Every time I am in Chicago I can be found having at least one meal in Giordano's. This pizza is Amazing, their antipasta salad is the best outside Italy, and the atmosphere is fun and laid back. If you like pizza, you'll love Giordano's. Pros: Tasty, Good Atmosphere, Casual more

Disappointing 11/6/2002

Friends and I went to Chicago in mid-October for a shopping spree on the Magnificent Mile. Were told by our hotel and others that Giordano's was the ""BEST"" pizza in town. Waited 1-1/2 hours to be seated, order arrived wrong, and tasted worse than a cardboard frozen pizza. Were very, very disappointed! more

Wayyyyyy Overrated!!! 11/6/2002

Giordano's is one of the most overrated restaurants in Chicago (besides Gino's but they're next), pizza is ok, way over-priced, but definitely not worth a spot in the top ten. I'll say it over and over you don't know good Chicago pizza unless you were born in Chicago and you've been eating the stuff forever. Giordano's is for the tourists. more

WoW Baby 11/6/2002

I was visiting Rockford, IL and we decided we wanted pizza and Giordano's is right down the road from our hotel so we tried it out. It was awesome! We loved it soo much that after a late game we ordered from Giordano's and had it delivered to the hotel. I just wish that we had a Giordano's in Oklahoma because i would never eat any other pizza again. Pros: fast delivery, good value, good parking more

Best all around! 11/6/2002

I used to live in Chicago and now live in Fargo, ND. There are no pizza places here that could ever compare to Giordano's stuffed pizza! Every time I go home to visit, I ALWAYS stop in for a pizza! The best in Chicago by far :) more

Gio's SIMPLY the BEST!! 11/5/2002

Giordano's IS Pizza. Never been to 63rd and California spot but have been to Rush street many-of-times. And, way before the move a 1/2 block south. The deep dish is the best, but their thin crust does not have the same ""pizzazz""-stick with the DEEP DISH. Like cheese? They use pounds of real mozzarella unlike other in this ""Chicago Best Pizza"" listing, who's melted cheese turns ORANGE!?!?!! Fresh sausage that has flavor, light and soft crust. No oil or grease sogging the bottom. Have friends who moved to LA, Scottsdale, Oregon and for Christmas I sent them all a Gio's to GO! I have received thank you card from their friends, where they live now, asking to sent more ""'Cuase there is NOTHING like out here!"" more
