Best

A Chicago landmark and must try if you haven't. Great Italian dishes and deep dish pizza.

Worst

This location was so slow I would have left had it not been raining. It took 90 min. to get one pie. At that, it was lukewarm at best and very average...

Phenom! 11/5/2002

I was on vacation in Chicago and wanted to try ""real Chicago pizza"". I was there for about 2 weeks and had a slice from quite a few resturants, but nothing compared to Giordano's! Pros: Inexpensive, Great pizza Cons: Slow service more

To Die for!!! 11/5/2002

This is the best pizza in the country!!!! This is worth the trip to have this pizza!!!!! I would recommend this to anyone interested in fine pizza! Pros: taste, value more

Worth taking home on the plane!! 11/1/2002

I was born and raised in the Seattle area. My little brother went off to school in Chicago so a couple of times a year I'd try to get out to see him. The first year we tried numerous pizza places, some of which were really good...once we tried Giordano's, though, there was no question that it was the best pizza we had EVER tasted!!! My brother now lives back in Seattle but we have many friends in Chicago that we visit each year. We always have dinner at Giordano's at least once while we're there, and we always stop on our way to the airport to pick up a large pizza to bring home with us! Pros: Great food, Reasonably price, Friendly staff Cons: It's in Chicago, It's not in Seattle more

CHICAGO STYLE PIZZA 11/1/2002

Live outside Chicago and miss home. Giordano's brings you back to that home feeling. more

From Chi town to Orlando 10/31/2002

Imagine my surprise when I was starving for a good pizza while on vacation and found Chicago's finest (Giordano's) in Orlando Fla. The same great quality and good service. Try the shrimp pizza if you want something special. Both the deep dish and thin are the best of Chicago and Orlando. Pros: selection of toppings, consistant quality, great all round menu Cons: sometimes to busy more

The deep dish you can't forget 10/31/2002

I was on a business trip to Melrose Park, IL and had been waiting a very long time in an up scale restaurant next to Giordano's. It was taking forever. We decided to head next door to the Pizza place. I must say the atmosphere was perfect and the deep dish pizza was great! I am from the south and no deep dish can compare to what I experienced at Giordano's! more

Go no further 10/3/2002

Of course the pizza was better at the original restaurant at 63rd and California...before the acclaim...when you had to run out to the liquor store next door if you wanted soda or beer...when the sound system was an 8-track propped up in a corner. But now that they have joints all over the city, and they still do stuffed pizza better than anybody else in the city. The crust is buttery but never greasy, the toppings are fresh, lots of mozzarella cheese. Pros: neighborhood, satisfying more

The best in deep dish 9/24/2002

I ate at the location on Lawarence Ave this summer for the first time. I am not exagerating when I say that it is the best deep dish pizza I have ever had. I am originally from Indianapolis and now live in Southern, IL. I have had pizza in many different places and this is the best I have had anywhere! more

Corporate 9/20/2002

its corporate. Chicago is about neigborhoods, not add time- 'nuff said. more

It's OK 9/20/2002

When I first moved to Chicago, I thought Giordano's was the place to go, but after quite a few visits- I think there are much better places in the Chicagoland area to get a pizza fix. The quality of food and service vary with each visit, this place has it's good days and bad days, unfortunately I think more bad days. I'd rather go to Pequods. more

Gag me with a pizza cutter! 9/9/2002

There are only two words to describe a visit to Giordano's on Lawrence Avenue in Chicago: ""NEVER AGAIN!"" Soggy, sloppily constructed, undercooked pizza, service that puts the rude in rudimementary, and pasta dishes that could cause Italy to declare war. Nothing about this place is worth going back to. Cons: Bad Food, Bad Service, Bad Food more

To die for 9/5/2002

Giordano's is the ultimate Chicago experience, as long as you get the stuffed pizza. The thin is good, but that would defeat the purpose of going. more

Yummy in your tummy! 8/22/2002

Words can't even describe Giordano's pizza. I live about 90 miles south of Chicago, but every time we're up north, we always make a trip to Giordano's. A few words of advice...chew really good. Enjoy! Pros: Good service on 159th more

Giordano's is more than a slice 8/22/2002

I could eat here all the time! Great in the city or the burbs. Food is always consistant. Service sometimes is up for grabs. more

stuffy tummy 8/18/2002

their pizza is worth every mile and every penny. a lot of locations, giordanos never fails to serve hot-off-the-oven pizzas and great service. Pros: good pizza, ok ambience, delivers Cons: takes too long, messes up orders, no parking more

Stuffed Pizza Stuffs Me 8/13/2002

The thin pizzas here are very good, but they are no match for the incredibly delicious stuffed pizzas that Giordano's makes. Everytime i crave a very CHEESY pizza, Giordano's is the place for me. To claim that I have eaten something healthy, my stuffed pizzas are also stuffed with spinach. Pros: Service, Food, Sitting Area more

great food 8/13/2002

great food awesome service great value best in chicago best ive had more

stuffed pizza, huh? 8/13/2002

Being a good ole boy from West Virginia i had never heard of stuffed pizza. maybe others out there havent either. if you ever get a chance, try it. its great! Pros: inexpensive, downtown location, great food Cons: very busy, limited 1on1 service more

Thickness 8/13/2002

This pizza can fill you up with one slice. The slices are very big and thick. It is the best pizza. more

Terrible Service/Excellent Food 8/13/2002

It may be just me but every experience I have at Giordano's is like a rollercoaster. I have had some terrible service including the long waits at lunch time and receiving wrong pizzas. Yet I still go there because the pizza is to die for. I don't know maybe I am bi-polar. more
