My wife and I were wandering around the Pearl with our two small children tonight, and landed here. We found it a delightful little place with pleasant ambiance. The food was basic but imaginative. Somehow Citysearch has this placed categorized as ""fine dining"", which it is NOT but that's ok, it's not what we wanted.
We had the scallops, a brandy chicken and the ""mac & cheese."" All were quite tasty, well-prepared, and priced below what we've paid for similar dishes in other nearby places.
Service was crisp and professional. No complaints, nothing impressive. Still, if I could count on this level of service every time we go out, I would take it.
It's true they are not really thinking about kids. No kids menu, no wait staff fawning over the kids, no crayons and fun placemats to draw on. But seriously, if you NEED that stuff to have a nice time out with the little ones, stick to the Old Spaghetti Factory.
Pros: Food quality for price
Cons: Could be a little more accomodating to kids
