I hadn't been to esb for a while, so i stopped in for breakfast. the meal itself was average. it was an enjoyable morning until i received the check. right below my $2.50 one refill coffee there was a charge for my $8.00 shot of jack daniels. $10.50 in total. that's a dollar more than my meal cost. i've heard that the owner wants to seem expensive because it increases the perception of value. he seems to have succeeded on the first part. its odd that the most excessive prices are for the items not listed on the menu. i wish my waiter had warned me that the liquor was a rip off. i don't think i'll give this place another chance.
