Changes Salon and Day Spa

I, unfortunately, made the mistake of wasting my money at this place. This place is no way relaxing or worth the cost. Even at their new locations, it is horrible. The employees, of whom have helped me, have been wonderful but you can definitely tell that they are displeased with their work experience. I can even hear the gossip that they talk about through the walls and doors. Also, the sales pressure is intense. I did purchase a product through their salon, but it has now taken over a month to receive the product. Apparently, the product is still on its way from Italy. I was told that the product had been shipped about 4 weeks ago, and then I was told that my product was just shipped yesterday! They are so quick to charge your account, but yet they don't deliver their service and products. on time. This place is only out for your money because they can't keep themselves afloat. The manager Jaime is a complete bogus. She doe not know how to address clients and she is an embarrassment to herself and her newly opened salons. The client should always be right. I do, however, enjoy the weigh-loss treatments, but do not waste your time or money going to this ridiculous place in either Round Rock or their South Austin location. I hope that the managers read this so that they can insert their own 5-Star ratings. If it were not for two employees that have worked with me since I have been there, I do not think Changes even deserves the one-star that I am going to give them in this review. Go somewhere else and do not fall for their scrupulous tricks. more

I have to say that Changes of Austin Salon & Spa is by far the most "positive" change I have made for myself in a very long time and I am so happy I made the choice! I have been going to their Round Rock location for almost 6 months now (an hour drive for me because I live in Southwest Austin, but well worth it even with gas prices). With that said, I am so excited that their new location on Bee Caves near the Hill Country Galleria is now opening in less than a week and for those of you up North, a much larger location in Round Rock is opening in less than a month. Obviously they are doing something right for alot of people if they are able to expand to a much larger location, as well as opening a new one down South. I have read some of these bad reviews and cannot imagine that these people have been to the same place I have been going... where I have had nothing but excellent service and incredible results with all the treatments that I have had (including hair, nails, facials, as well as the incredible slimming and toning body treatments, etc., etc.,...talk about FULL SERVICE)! I have never felt pressured into buying anything and have always appreciated the knowledgeable advice and suggestions that I have received, when I have asked for help with problem issues. I am also very excited that they are now carrying the complete Aveda product line, which I LOVE!!! Everyone who works at Changes of Austin has always been very friendly, helpful, professional and discreet. If there is anything about your "look" that you would like to "change", this is the best choice for you...I have spent alot more money on surgeries that didn't give me the results that I have found here! I highly recommend this Spa & Salon to everyone I know and will continue to do so!!! Pros: Positive Changes Cons: Too far from home/Not Anymore!!! more

Well I tried to give the benefit of the doubt. But this place was dirty and unorganized. I felt like the man behind the counter was hitting on me. the room drapes are see through and I felt wierd the entire time. I used these machines at another spa and it was MUCH more professional. I have been having treatments done here for some time now and the results have been wonderful. The people at Changes really want each of their clients to have the best results possible and don't mind going that extra mile to make sure I'm satisfied with my treatments. I think this place is a real blessing. I had my hair & nails done not to long ago here and when I left this salon I really felt like a new person. My family thought I had a complete make over done and they where really impressed with my new look....Changes changed my life and now they have a customer for life!!! I got a gift certificate for Christmas to Changes and finally found some time to go.....and what a wonderful spa! The people there are so curtious and the treatment I got was great! I am a long time client of Changes and I had to come on here and tell you about thier new treatments for slimming and toning. They are incredible! I have lost 3.5 inches in my waist and have completely gotten rid of my love handles. Being a man, I was nervous at first to try it but let's face it, men want to look good too! I work in a very high profile industry and I don't have time to always make it to the gym and now I don't have too. I look forward to going to my appointments and have made alot a friends there getting to know the staff who is amazing and the other clients who are also going thru the program. My appointments rarely run late and when they do they usually call me in advance (this has only happened once and was because a employee got sick and went home). I can't say enough good things about Changes. Great job guys....its hard to find businesses that actually care about their clients. PS Massages are awesome! My husband got me a gift certificate to Changes for Valentines Day for a massage pedicure manicure and facial. It was the best present ever! Then when I found out how little he spent, I had to come on here and tell everyone. My services were great and I had a relaxing time. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. I read a few of the other reviews and I think I agree with the last one that there must be a few unhappy people out there because I didn't experience anything like what they were talking about. In fact, everyone that was there when I was was having a great time from what I could tell. Their clients are all very friendly and I know I was asked at the end of my visit if I was happy. There was absolutely no sales pressure after my facial just information that I requested. They are busy, it took me over a week to get an appointment. Since when is that a bad thing? I read some of the other reviews before calling but decided to give them a shot. I was glad I did! I booked a package which included a massage, manicure, pedicure and facial. It was amazing!! I don't think these other people went to the same place. Everyone was so nice and helpful. They paid attention to me, even the technicians who weren't even working on me. They were busy as it was a Saturday but I was never hurried and felt any stress. They handle thier clientele very well. Some that I met have been clients for over 9 years! No one seemed upset with anything. I spoke with one client there while =our nails were drying. I told her that I had read about Changes on Citysearch and what I had read. She told me an awful story about an ex employee that has been coming on here and writing bad reviews about the owners. Once she even used their landlords name and a long time clients name to log in and write the review. I couldn't believe people would do this but after going back thru I can see it. This place is great. You just have to go see for yourself. Yes they are busy, but isn't that a good thing? Doesn't that tell you something? Pros: Everything was great! Cons: NONE! more

This place is totally crazy. Very disorganized, and paniced. You get NO personal service. You are rushed in, and rushed out. THey take your money and don't care if you are pleased or not. I am not at all happy with my service. I told the girl working the front, and she said nothing, and just rung me up. Then before I left, she wanted to know when I wanted my next appointment, or if I wanted to buy anything from the boutique. I told her flat out.....I don't think I should even be paying today, I am not happy. She again said nothing, and showed me some cute earrings. WAY to much sales pressure. more

I wouldnt bother going here. I think the owners are way over their heads in this business. Too much going on in that tiny little house for a couple people to manage it. The girls are nice, but sales pressure is something ill have to agree on with the rest of the people. They talk to you forever and the convincing is way over exaggerated for these treatments. I usually try to see the good in every business. I try to go to the little local places and help them survive. BUT NAH, this was just a waste of money and time. Girls were running around everywhere, and there was not a good energy in the air at all. Save your money. Easy to find. Does not involve having to deal with I-35! Not intimidated when you walk in. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Helpful. I just moved to the area and was glad to find Changes. Everyone was so nice and friendly. My services, a pedicure, manicure and haircut were great. I will be back. I was really surpirsed when I walk into Changes. This shop is so cute! Everyone is friedly and welcoming and made me feel right at home. They are busy but they seem to handle it well. I heard from one of the employees that they will be moving to a larger location soon. I would agree they need more space but everyone seems to work well together and be very organized. My services were awesone. It was the best pedicure ever! My polish lasted 4 weeks! I have found my salon home. I can't wait to see their next place! Thank you Changes for welcoming me.
