Great service from these guys. Oscar was helpful and it was obvious that the staff was knowledgeable. The price was fair, not on the cheap side but not on the expensive either. Overall I was very pleased with my experience and will be giving them all of my automotive business from here on out. Good/honest mechanics are really hard to find and these guys are great! more

On the way back into town from a trip, we started experiencing car probolems. SInce we had never had auto work done on this car in Austin, we had no idea where to turn for help. We logged onto CitySearch and came across Ben White Automtaive. We were immediately impressed with it's high scores and the glowing reviews by other customers, and I am delighted to say we were not dissapointed! Oscar took great care of us, the repairs were done in a timley manner, and the cost was even less then the original estimate. Every person I talked with at Ben White Automotive was very polite and friendly. When they were unable to get my car back to me when I needed it to go to work, they paid for a rental car that I could have for 24 hours. They tried to help me make the best decision as to what I needed to have done to my car (making sure I would be covered by warranty for the longest time). So far my car is working great, and I have no reason to complain. Just be sure to look out for the sign, though, because it's very easy to miss. more

I've known of this shop for about 4 years, and during the past three years I have had my '95 Plymouth serviced there and have always been impressed by the automotive ""know-how"" displayed by the shop manager, Oscar; even more impressive to me is his willingness to check his knowlege involving difficult problems with that of the expert mechanics working with him. All the work done on my l'il ole car at 409 W.B.W. has pleased me but in October I brought it in for a routine checkup and found that in addition to the work I ordered, Oscar found a broken air distribution switch and put on a new one. I discovered it the next day when the weather turned cold. I can't say how much this pleased me! I wish all the people with whom I do business were as ""with it"" as I have found Oscar and the men on his team. Pros: I like the attention to detail, and the diagnostic skill of the Oscar, and am impressed with the work done by his crew of mechanics. Cons: I keep looking, but can't come up with any! more

These people are sooooo nice. After a local car audio shop broke my heating/AC system while installing a radio, and failing to take responsibility for it, it was truly soothing to deal with Ben White Automotive. They explained to me what had happened, charged me NOTHING, turned on heat for the winter, AND offered to flip it back to AC when it gets warm again!!! I feel like I don't have to dread going in for auto repairs any more. Thank you Oscar and all the workers and management!!! more

No BS here! These guys deliver every time, and stand by their work! They fix what needs to be fixed and make recommendations about future service calls. Ben White Automotive on E. Ben White keeps my 8 year old car on the road. I know very little about ""cars with computers"", and I know I can trust these people to do what it takes to make sure I am safe on the road. Never pushy, always informative, always polite and NEVER trying to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. These people will go out of their way to help if it's within their ability to do so. They always tell me what's wrong, what my options are and what I might need to do in the future. I can call and ""run something by them"" and I never get told ""bring it in"" (as other places do), just to get in my pocket. If they feel that it definitely should be looked at, they say so. I've spoken wth Oscar many times with car questions and he is always helpful and never acts like I'm taking up his valuable time (which I'm sure I do). We take our cars for granted. Get in, take off and never be concerned until something goes wrong. Ben White Auto works with me to keep things from going wrong and if something does, Ben White Auto gets me back on the road. I always know they've done the best job for me and at a very reasonable price and within a timeframe I can work with. more

I have been coming for years to Ben White Automotive, I believe not long after they opened. I have never had to have the work re-done or brought back to finish up. The ""old fashioned"" customer service without all the bouncing around from person to person, no double talk or put on hold and left there, numbers to push to get bounced and actual call backs when necessary (Not forgotten). So many businesses create so much insulation that to deal with a human is almost a novelty. I get to talk to a person and most often the same person with my questions of concern of what to do next. Top knowledge based and matched with care and concern. I have been pleased and therefore come back again and again. I have recommended you to many people. Please continue to be there for me Oscar and Ben White Automotive. I only just recently started going to Ben White Auto, but since I have, I have not been disappointed with their work. Their employees are helpful, their service is reasonably priced, fast, and some of the best in town, and they try to help you out as much as possible. Oscar, Ben White's automotive service writer saved me big bucks. I took my son's car to Ben White since the radiator was leaking. Oscar researched the problem and found out from the manufacturer that the radiator was being recalled due to seam defects. Oscar got me a new radiator at no charge and recommended that we put a lower pressure cap on the radiator. The lower pressure radiator cap will put less stress on the seams of the radiator. Guess what, no other problems have developed and it is great to know this shop with a honest and knowledgeable person and not for just driving up repair costs. Pros: Great Service & Knowledge more
