I have had a great experience with Ben White Automotive and would recommend them to anyone looking for that permanent mechanic. Recently our mechanic retired and in the search for a new one, we have had a lot of stress trying other mechanics. Oscar at Ben White Auto was very helpful over the phone and in person and was very patient with all of my questions about the car repair. We took our car in last week for a repair on our axle that we thought would take all day and by that same afternoon, he called to say it was done! Oscar and the mechanics seem to have a genuine understanding of their customer's time and money concerns and they make sure you are satisfied. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Best Automotive repair shop around, honest, won't sell you a bunch of stuff you don't need. Oscar very honest about what your vehicle needs and doesn't need. I had a reman. engine put in and also I had some trouble with my Jeep stalling on me. Another shop wanted to cut wires, but Oscar and his crew got right on it w/o cutting any wires. The Jeep drives like a new one. Also the recommend that I get a complete brake job also. So I would recommend them to anyone who needs a honest mech. shop to work on your car or truck. This shop doesn't B.S. when it come to customer experience and work is done right the first time if not they will make it right. I spoke with them on the phone before I went into the shop, because I was worried about geting my car repaired, but they were very friendly and helpful, so I decided to go in. Once I got there, I had a very brief wait before getting the news on my car (which turned out to be a very simple thing to fix- a problem with a recent oil change at a less-than-reputable place). It turned out that the problem was so minor that they went ahead and fixed it and test drove it (to be sure there wasnt an underlying problem) with no charge to me at all. I will be going to them from now on not only for repairs, but for oil changes and other maintence. If you go there, you will not regret it! more

I have been doing business with Ben White Automotive for the past 10 years. I have always found them to be honest in their business dealings. They have highly qualified technicians that perform excellent automotive repair. I have full confidence that when they tell me that my car needs a mechanical repair that it really needs to be done. When I let them know that I am running low on expendable cash they will prioritize the work needed so that the most critical items get fixed now and the others can wait awhile without adversely affecting the safe operation of the vehicle. They stand behind their work and parts 110%. Their 12 month 12,000 mile warranty speaks for itself. And I have found that if a comoponent fails outside of the warranty by a few miles or weeks, they still will honor their warranty. I have dealt with many garages and mechanics over the past 45 years, and I can truthfully say that I have not dealt with either a more honest or a more high work quality automotive repair business than Ben White Automotive. I am vey glad that I did find such a business because I have three cars and a pick up truck ranging from 1995 to 2004 and invaribly they do need a great deal of work from time to time. I believe if you are not using Ben White Automotive, then you are not getting the most for your hard earned money, Pros: High quality of work at reasonable prices. We took our vehicle to the Ben White Auto-South in response to a postcard ad for their Fall Special. The service they provided was fine, especially at the promotional rate they charged. Although we were happy with the work they did, the gentleman who handled all of our customer service was helpful enough when we dropped our vehicle off, but in such a rush when we picked it up, he left us with a bad impression on the way out. We had a few questions about our vehicle as most folks will for their mechanics--his answers were so short and abrupt, it was obvious he just wanted us out of there. Especially because his lobby was empty. Most people need to feel comfortable with and feel they can trust their auto mechanic, not feel unwelcome. Unfortunately, we are now still looking for our ""permanent"" mechanic. . . Pros: Staff knows their stuff, service was good. Cons: Customer service rushed, not friendly. more

I had the most unbelievable experience at Ben White Automotive. I ran my Corolla up on a curb leaving work really mad a few days ago and brought my car in because it was making awful noises. Oscar, the owner was great on the phone and even better (and really funny) in person. They not only fixed my car but did not charge me. (I am not making this up) Seems that I ran up the curb a bit harder than I thought and knocked the muffler a good foot over, among other stuff. I cannot thank them enough and will definitely go back and will tell lots of folks about them. more

I was so fortunate to have found Ben White Automotive. It is very close to my job, the employees are very nice, and the cost is reasonable. Being a female, I am always concerned about getting ripped off; being a business professional, I am concerned about being without my car. Ben White Automotive has resolved all of my issues regarding my 2001 out of warranty car service and repairs. They even do warranty work, which I wish I had known about earlier - I would have taken my car there rather than to the dealership. I have always had a good customer experience there, which is hard to find these days. I highly recommend Ben White Automotive! I've been going to BWAuto for a couple of years now and I have ALWAYS had spectacular service there. Their estimates are always spot on and sometimes the final bill is even less than the estimate. I have never had a bad experience with BWAuto. They are always very friendly and timely in all repairs. I have never had it take more than an 8 hour work day to have something repaired and back in working order. more

Ben White Automotive did only the repairs that I needed. Another automotive shop quoted me a much higher price along with a lot of unnecessary work on my vehicle. Ben White Automotive fixed my vehicle quickly and explained to me what the actual problem was and how they fixed it. I'll definitely go back to this shop. more

I went to Ben White Auto and had at problem with my car corrected for 10 percent of the quoted price from Firestone because Oscar at Ben White Auto only fixed what needed fixing, instead of adding extra service to increase the price. I definitely recommend this mechanic! more
