The Real Truth! 1/4/2009

Astor Place Hair has been around forever and offers everyone a great service that is affordable. Asto Place Hair is a tradition and landmark in NYC. The busy, experienced hairstylists do not have open appointments for walk ins so people make appointments with them directly. The less experienced and perhaps less popular hair stylists are always available and have available appointments so when walk ins come in that's who they recommend at the front desk. Enough of the trashing of talented hairstylists and self written reviews by hairstylists like Alan, this has to stop. Astor Place is a great asset to the hair world especially in today?s economy. Suzy gave me awesome color!!! 1/4/2009

I recently went to Astor Place Hair and I asked the front desk who the best colorist was. They immediately sent me to see Suzie. She is really great, she has been a stylist for many years and it shows. I knew I was in the right hands because she works with great confidence. I have found a colorist that I can rely on to give me just what I want. I am sending my friend to see Suzy this week and I can't wait to see the results! I GOT TO ASTOR AFTER BEING RECOMMENDED FROM A CO WORKER. 1/3/2009

IU LIKE TO SAY THAT , ONCE I GOT TO ASTOR, I SEEN MANY PEOPLE ... I WAS AMAZED. THEN , I ASKED THE RECEPTIONIST, TO RECOMMEND SOMEONE , THAT IT WAS VERY GOOD, . I TOLD HIM I WANT THE BEST HAIRSTYLIST! HE QUIETLY TOLD ME TO SEE THIS GUY NAMED ALAN. I WAS NERVOUS, BUT , I FELT THAT , THE MOMENT I SIT DOWN , ALAN MADE ME FEEL SO COMFORTABLE. HE EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO ME ABOUT THE COLORS, HAIRCUTS,STYLES... ... THE 30MIN I WAS THERE, ABOUT 4 PEOPLE APROCH HIM , ASKING IF HE HAD TIME.... ALAN IS JUST GREAT!! Sergio is a good man for a great haircut! 1/2/2009

I wanted to say nice things about Sergio over at Astor Place Hair., I have been using him for nice mens haircuts and he is really good! I had tried Alan before and he is NOT GOOD at all. In fact, me and my wife both tried Alan, and both felt he was a very bad stylist and unprofessional!! He tried to push things on us to make us spend more money, that's not nice!. Alan thinks he is better than he is, no way I say! No talent at all. Now I go to Sergio and my wife loves Irma also at Astor PLace for cut and color too. Now we are both happy again! Suzi for an sad worry day.... I was surprise how cheap my hair cost me , then I realized why.... 1/1/2009

"Of Course , I went to Astor Hair. I been around and I have tried everyone in this business. I try Suzi, a Lady that gave me this almost white Hi-lights, no contrast at all, my hair look like I am a call girl! Needless to say I was very unhappy ... when she start to fight with her co worker, because she did not want to use the last sink. ( at this point I was about to wash my hair my self) Suzi looked worry and mad from the time I got there and wile she was doing my hair. She did not listen,( then I realized she was doing 4 people , and we all looked alike , Oh my Gosh ! I feel that my hair, and the time I paid her to see me, left a lot to be desired ! she has a Bad attitude combine with a very poor or "NOT" english, add up for a cheap hair priced that became expensive ! oohhhh i like this place so much!. my hair is so niece and fancy! the burber named Marko is the one i like best off all. He can make it look anytime i want to and makes it for little money to spend. i will go again here becouse its what I want! The stairss go down fast but be carful I say, not to fall down them. Asstore PLace is my place once and for all, my haircute is fresh and good! I might go tomorow or maybe not, but soon again. yay for this i say! me hair is gretest of all!! Suzy Rocks!! 12/31/2008

I went to a male hairdresser (who is written up on City Search, I will be kind & not mention names) who effectively ruined my beautiful hair. My best friend told me that Suzy could fix the color and cut. Suzy turned my destroyed hair cut into a glamorous cut & gave me natural looking color with great highlights. Thanks to Suzy no one can tell how terrible I looked because before I left Astor Place my hair was saved. Suzy, you?re amazing! Pros: Suzy is the best colorist! RITA IS EXTRAORDINARY & I SHOULD KNOW SHE CORRECTED MY BIG MESS. I HAD THE WRONG HAIR COLOR & MY HAIR WAS FRIED FROM BAD HIGHLIGHTS PLUS IT WAS FALLING OUT. I WENT TO RITA & NOW ONLY GO TO RITA EVEN THOUGH I HAVE TO TRAVEL OVER ONE HOUR IN EACH DIRECTION TO MY APPOINTMENTS WITH HER. Wow, I love my hair and my whole new look! Rita gave me exactly what I wanted. I read so many inspiring reviews about her here that I knew I just had to make an appointment right away. I am so glad I did and listened to my instincts, she rules! On my very first appoinment I showed her a picture from a magazine of the style I wanted. I said, "can you do this?", she said sure, no problem at all. Well, she duplicated it perfectly, right on the money! So easy! No stylist I had ever been to was able to do that before The next time I saw her we went a little further with a new color and highlights. Now I really look like a million bucks! She turned my dull look into a rich, healthy looking hair that shines. I have people stopping me and asking where I get my hair done. That has never happened to me! I can't than her enough. Rita is the total package! Talented and personable. She loves making people beautiful, a natural at what she does. She is even a beauty herself. I feel very lucky to have found her. Suzy is the best colorist and she can turn dull hair color into vibrant, exciting color. Suzy knows color and can color correct any mess; I should know because she fixed my green hued hair and restored me back to looking like a natural blonde with gorgeous highlights.
