Review content:
If you haven't tried Sambar next to Le Gourmand you are missing out on a very hip little bar... and I mean little! It's a converted apartment that now houses the fabulous cocktail purveyors and their fabulous, mod bar. While the Le Gourmand side still has the stylings of a French countryside manor you'll be brought back to today as you sip the fresh drinks brought to you by bartenders like Jay.
In the summer the outdoor seating area doubles the amount of seating available for Sambar. The bar menu is full of delectable items to savor and the chef at Le Gourmand (they share a kitchen) makes even french fries (Pomme Frites!) a gourmet treat.
We just hit Sambar again on Tuesday of this week (Nov 21st) and it was heaven as usual. Tasty morsels such as cauliflower soup, artisan cheeses, pomme frites, and several other bar menu items came in succession to fill our tummies as we sipped on the flavorful cocktails and we happily munched our way through them all. At the end of the evening we ordered several chocolate type desserts: profiteroles, chocolate mousse, and truffles. YUM!!!! Well worth it.
