We had been taking our animals to Fred Road Animal Hospital for 20 years! Since it was a small very pet friendly place run by Dr Granberry. He was an awesome man and you could tell he truely loved animals. Then he moved to a larger hospital down the street on Fred Road. The place was beautiful, clean, and very professionally run and Dr Granberry was the same loving, gentle and kind doctor. Unfortunately, all good things must end...Dr Granberry retired this past year...and guess what?? A large company bought the place and took all his customers who thought nothing had changed except for the owners..WRONG!!! The place is now legally owned by Texas veterinary Hospitals and nothing is the same...The prices have doubled! The waiting is atrocious because of all the people waiting!! The service is 3rd rate and the vets want to charge you for everything even if your animal doesn't need it. They charge you for a wellness exam even if you don't want it and won't give any service without it...even if you just need a rabie shot.OH, aqnd don't try and bring your aqnimal in for an emergency!! we tried and were told just to take it to an emergency clinic. We personally saw a man come in with his injuered and dying dog and was told that he needed an appointment!! Can you believe it!! But you know what the worst thing is? The staff!!!!! They are RUDE and very curt and downright obnoxious, esp. this one African American girl...she is the worst!! We have heard and read many complaints about the staff . We could go on and on about this horrible place..but we know that we will never bring our animals there again...Hey...take them to Affordable Pet Care on Basse Rd...half the price and no rudeness...
