It's very unfortunate that people who are sick, and have a disease are treated unfairly for the political gain of others. It's bad enough that their families are in this situation, but to be able to visit their loved ones has been made very difficult. My experience trying to visit the father of my child, was horrible. They would rather me bring MY BABY into the jail to see his father through a piece of GLASS, then just allow me to come alone, since we're still not legally married. Just going through the visitation process, I was treated like a common criminal. Everything is always about money, like phone service and basic needs. The fact that I have to pay for this stuff TWICE; first through taxes, second for me to pay for my loved one to have UNDERWEAR or enough FOOD. Its just unbelievable. We're not helping these people. Pros: The treatment of rapists and murders Cons: Non-violent narrcotics offenders are treated the same.
