I worked in Bloomfield for a year and a half trying all the places up and down the street. D'Amico's was great. My colleagues and I debated the merits of here vs. the Pleasure Bar. The Pleasure Bar won out on the sausage and meatball sandwiches, otherwise it was D'Amico's
The salad comes with the meal, the dressing is home made and always great. Pasta specials are always outstanding.
The service is friendly and efficient. They were also accomodating to kids. I do not recall receiving mixed vegetables, we usually had rabe or something specially ordered. Complaints about the vegetables may be valid. I cannot recall having a poor lunch or dinner.
If you want decor and atmosphere, D'Amico's is not the place for you. For good food and friendly staff, it is quite appealing.
