Review content:
I really had a difficult time with this practice. I decided to try going to a midwife for my routine gynecological care, hoping that they would have more perspective and would possibly be better listeners. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The CNM didn't read anything that I had written before the appointment--and proceeded to suggest a supplement that I had already tried. She was reluctant to discuss any options beyond putting me on a medication and seemed very annoyed that I should want to consider anything else. When I called with a follow-up question regarding the medication, I again received a very annoyed response. Also, even though the CNM stated that she didn't think the medication could be causing the symptoms I was having, she didn't express any further concern about the symptoms. This was definitely not worth the extra co-pay to see a "specialist".
